Wedding DuressI knew a lot went in to planning a wedding, but I never realized exactly how much โ€œa lotโ€ was until this week.

Iโ€™m rushing around trying to get all sorts of last minute things done (rings picked up from the jeweler, vows written and to the minister, a final head count for the reception, final dress fittings for me and my bridesmaids, and solving the suspected murder of my friendโ€™s former governess).

Yes, you read that right.

Iโ€™ve gone and gotten myself involved in solving another murderโ€”days before my wedding to Milo Wentworth.

I see you shaking your head in disgust. I really do. And I know youโ€™re right. I should have simply told Beatrice that I couldnโ€™t help. I should have kept on insisting her former governessโ€™s fall was an accident. After all, thatโ€™s what the official ruling was. . .

But hereโ€™s the thing. Miss Gracieโ€™s last words donโ€™t ring true for someone who was falling.

They do, however, ring true for someone who was pushed.

So now, instead of just my wedding-related check list, Iโ€™m also carrying around a list of suspects. Turns out, there are quite a few people who may have had a reason to want the British woman dead. Somewhere among all those names is a killer.

I need to focus.

I need to figure this out.

Unfortunately, that focus part is a little hard right now and not just because of the wedding. You see, one of my bridesmaids also fell this week and the rest of my bridesmaids donโ€™t care. In fact, theyโ€™re all so angry with her, Iโ€™m not sure theyโ€™re ever going to look at her again.

She, of course, claims she did nothing wrong.

Everyone else (including me) knows otherwise.

And to top it all off, that same friend (the one everyone is angry at) has called something to my attention that is going to upset Milo deeply.

Iโ€™m really starting to wonder if Milo and I should have eloped. . .
