  1. I like the simplicity and emotional resonance of the cover. The picturesque countryside belies the danger under the guise of an ordinary rescue and assist road trip.
The plot entices me to participate despite the dangers while throwing caution aside and leaving my safe haven.

  2. Great cover!! Can’t wait to read this new book, feels like we have been waiting forever for it to be for sale.

  3. Hi Annette! *waves* If any of you haven’t read Annette’s books, I highly recommend them. They are fantastic. I don’t need to be entered in the contest.

  4. This is a new to me series but I think I would enjoy reading this series. I’ve heard good things about it on some of the cozy mystery blog sites.

    • I fell in love with Nashville, but don’t think I’ll make it back there THIS year. Possibly 2017. However, I hope to see you at one of the other mystery conferences!

  5. What an intriguing plot! It all leads one to just pick up the book and read it!
    Love the cover, too!

  9. This rings a strong bell for me. My son in law (before he became a cop) was a Paramedic for the FDNY with his firehouse being out in Far Rockoway, Queens, NY. This was back when the firemen and first responders could sometimes be in the middle of a gang battleground.

So Yes Dru, please add my name to the drawing list.

  10. Can’t wait to follow Zoe’s next chapter in her life! I too am partial to paramedics having them in my family as well. Great cover and I KNOW it’ll be another great story!

  11. Haven’t read this series or author yet but this review and the cover are pushing me to add it to my TBR list. Thank you!

  12. Different twist of a mystery! Never thought about first responders being in danger, but I suppose it could happen.

    • Jill, this book was inspired by a very similar set of situations, so yes, sadly in today’s world, it does happen.

  13. Whoo Hoo!!! Congrats on your next upcoming release. Added your previous best sellers to my Goodreads ‘Want to Read’ category. Always love a chance to win free book(s) 🙂
