This past weekend I attended the annual Malice Domestic Convention. The main event is the dinner banquet where awards are handed out. Since I was nominated with my friend, Kristopher Zgorski for our first published short story, TICKET TO RIDE that is featured in the “Happiness Is a Warm Gun: Crime Fiction Inspired by the Songs of The Beatles” edited by Josh Pachter.

So it came to the short story category and both myself and Kristopher were shocked that when both our names were we announced because that meant we won an Agatha Award For Best Short Story. To be honor by the Malice Domestic Community is a blessing and we are happy to accept this trophy. As Sally Field said in “Norma Rae”… they like us, they like us.
