I start each morning with coffee and pick up another cup when I get to the Hillsboro Village area where I work. I check all current accounts and trips to see what needs to be done that day, what the day’s deadlines are. I send payments due and check any messages from the end of the day before. I review information from current trips, check names for current groups and check with the responsible group leader for correct spelling. I check for special arrangements, special diets, allergies, and for time zones. If I’m on a case, I do the same plus work in looking for answers, making sure the other employees in the office, Martha, Anna, and Lee, can cover anything I might miss. At the end of the day, I check everything again, making sure any calls are returned that need to be. I make o list, noting everything that needs to be done the next day.

So when she runs into her high-school sweetheart, Franklin “Fly” Young, who makes a point of telling her his marriage is in trouble, she’s not interested – but she can’t help but feel nostalgic. And more to the point, Fly is now a tech millionaire, and he has good news: he’d like her to take on his company’s travel account.

But then Campbell discovers the identity of Detective Davis’ murder victim: Fly’s company accountant. Was his death connected to the company, or is it a terrible coincidence? Soon Campbell is caught up in a nightmare – with her whole life on the line . . .
