– –  I own a gift shop called, Heavenly Treasures.

– –  Yes!

– –  Jakob Fisher.

– –  He’s a detective with the Heavenly, PA police department. He grew up Amish.

Any children?
– –  No.

Do you have any sibling(s)?
– –  No.

Cats, dogs or other pets?
– –  No.

What town do you live in?
– –  Heavenly, Pennsylvania.

Do you rent or own?
– –  I live with my aunt Diane. She owns and runs Sleep Heavenly, a Bed and Breakfast in our town.

What is your favorite spot in your house?
– –  The parlor. It’s this wonderful room that overlooks the Amish countryside when the windows are open to the sunlight. At night, it’s where my aunt’s guests often visit with one another. I love to go in there and read, or talk to Aunt Diane and the guests.

Who is your best friend?
– –  Esther Miller (nee, King). She’s Amish.

Amateur sleuth or professional?
– –  Amateur.

Whom do you work with when sleuthing?
– –  I like to help my boyfriend (the detective) talk things out when he’s working a case. But when he’s busy, I tend to poke around myself…just to help.

Favorite meal?
– –  Aunt Diane’s pot roast and noodles! So delicious!

Favorite dessert?
– –  Fresh from the oven chocolate chip cookies!

Favorite hobby?
– –  I like to make candles and decorate picture frames when I have some free time.

Favorite vacation spot?
– –  After a less than ideal life before moving to Heavenly, I’m pretty content to be home.

Favorite color?
– –  Yellow. It’s happy.

Favorite author?
– –  Laura Bradford. Without a doubt. I got my hands on an advance copy of her upcoming women’s fiction novel, Portrait of a Sister (out June 26th) and it’s fabulous!

Favorite sports team?
– –  I’m not exactly what you’d call a sports enthusiast. . .

Movies or Broadway?
– –  Broadway—if I could go with Jakob.

Are you a morning or a night person?
– –  Both.

In two to three sentences, what is a typical day in your life like?
– –  I start my day in the kitchen with Aunt Diane, helping prepare breakfast for the inn’s guests. Then it’s off to my shop where I meet some of the nicest people from all over the country. At night, I help Aunt Diane with dinner and then read away the rest of my night in the parlor. On a rare night off from dinner-duty, I love to spend it with Jakob, walking in Amish country.
