Coco sits down for a question-and-answer session with dru’s book musings so that we can get to know her better.

Cordelia Cline – although I don’t advertise that too much! Only my parents call me Cordelia or “Delia.” To everyone else, I’m Coco 😊

How old are you?
Twenty-eight

What is your profession?
I wear a few hats: I’m a lifestyle blogger, an influencer, and a social media consultant. I launched my own marketing business, Center of Attention, a few years ago.

Do you have a significant other?
Yes ❤️

What is their name and profession?
Hudson Caruthers works at the local news stations, WMTG, as an evening anchor and investigative reporter.

Do you have any children?
Nope – although my bestie, Jasper, can be pretty childish as times LOL

Do you have any siblings?
Yes, a younger sister (25-years-old) named Dorothy “Thea” Watts. She’s married and has adorable triplets!

Are your parents nearby?
Yes, Mom & Dad also live in Central Shores. We visit them often for dinner or a barbeque.

Who is your best friend?
Jasper Hastings has been my BFF since second grade, and Charlotte Whittaker has become my closest girlfriend. I love them both to bits.

Do you have cats, dogs, or other pets?
No pets. I spend a lot of time on the go, and I have enough trouble taking care of myself LOL maybe one day!

What town do you live in?
Central Shores, which is a beach town in Delaware.

What type of dwelling do you own or rent?
I live in a two-story, seaside condo that I purchased with some of the money I made from selling my college startup.

What is your favorite spot in your home?
Hmm, I think it would have to be in the nook of our sectional couch, with Hudson cuddled up next to me.

What is your favorite meal and dessert?
Tacos are definitely a fav meal of mine. Dessert…hmm, so many options. I’ll never pass up a brownie sundae!

Do you have any hobbies?
My work consumes a lot of my time, but whenever I have a free moment, I like to hit the beach and read. I also love a good shopping spree.

What is your favorite color?
I love coral pink!

What is your favorite vacation spot?
Somewhere warm and with a beach. I may live by the ocean, year-round, but the Caribbean is just so gorgeous.

Are you a morning or night person?
Morning person; I like to get all my client meetings taken care of early in the day.

What is your idea of a really fun time?
Going out to dinner with Hudson, Jasper, Charlotte, and her boyfriend, Deacon. Being around my friends is never dull.

If you were to write a memoir, what would you call it?
#FlawlesslyFailing – while my life may look perfect to my followers online, there’s a LOT that goes on behind the camera.

Amateur or professional sleuth and whom do you work with?
I’m a total amateur, but I’ve gotten some major props from the Central Shores PD for the help I’ve given them. I love teaming up with Hudson, Jasper, and Charlotte, but in #TagMe for Murder, even my mom steps in to help!

What is a typical day in your life like?
When I’m not consumed by a murder investigation, I wake up and dive into my “social media due diligence,” which means logging onto all my accounts to interact with followers and manage my content.

Once my online duties are complete, I head out to conduct any in-person consultation visits or launch a Zoom to chat with my clients virtually. Depending on the day, I will also need to carve out time to write my weekly post for my lifestyle blog, Trending Topic.

When all my work is done, I’ll assemble the squad for a night out on the town or dinner at my condo.

When murder trends too close to home, social media influencer Coco Cline will have to swipe through a sea of trolls to tag a killer.

After cracking her first case, Cordelia “Coco” Cline’s life is finally getting back to normal—or as normal as life can be when you have over three million followers online. With a thriving business, a devoted boyfriend, and her two besties living right up the street, Coco is set to have the most fun summer of her life until Larry and Rosalynn Dunmer move into the condo next door.

Coco and her friends do their best to avoid the confrontational duo, but when a party at a swanky new wine bar brings everyone together, things become less than neighborly faster than a celebrity-themed hashtag goes viral. Larry levels some super shady threats toward Coco and her BFF Jasper, which could have dire consequences for their multimedia empires. Just as Coco begins to wonder if she’ll have to spend the rest of the summer looking over her shoulder, she gets a shocking request from police. As part of her PR gig with the Central Shores PD, they need her to come to the beach and keep the public at bay. A body has washed ashore.

Thinking a poor swimmer drowned just before the Salute to Summer festival kicks off, Coco arrives to find Larry Dunmer, dead with a corkscrew sticking out of his neck. What’s even more unbelievable is that Jasper quickly shoots to the top of Chief McInnis’s suspect list. In full-on panic mode, Coco decides to use her tech-savvy sleuthing skills to clear her best friend’s name before his rep is ruined. She soon discovers that Larry made quite a few enemies during his very short stay in town. But who hated him enough to kill him?

Return to the beaches of Central Shores as Coco Cline and her squad assemble to catch a killer before they get canceled…permanently.
