Once a hobby, now a necessity, she is retained to appraise an antique in a former stately home, but she stumbles on a dead body and once more faces being discredited, and worse. Remy can’t seem to catch her breath when she befriends an older woman who is looking for a family heirloom she thinks has been stolen by Remy’s employer. Remy agrees to assist the woman’s search as a distraction. But the diversion turns deadly as Remy finds herself in the middle of another investigation, or is she the target?

About the author
R. Franklin James is a native Californian. After years of public service, she went back to her first love—writing mysteries. In 2013, her debut novel in the award-winning Hollis Morgan Mystery Series, The Fallen Angels Book Club was published by Camel Press. The last book in the series, The Identity Thief was released in 2018.
Her new series: Remy Loh Bishop Mysteries, will have its first book, The Appraiser, released in Summer 2019.
