Hi, My name is Georgie Tanner. I once was a successful paralegal with a firm representing estate law. But all that changed when my fiancé was murdered.

Now I work at an old friend’s Bed and Breakfast as their tour guide in Gainesville Pennsylvania, leading visitors through all the famous American Revolutionary sites. I love my job. My day starts with me waking up in my apartment—an antique building in itself— and jetting over to the B&B to help with breakfast. Then I take the tourists who’ve signed up for the excursion to various places, even visiting the local Amish market for their old-world restaurant recipes, fruits, and vegetables, and homemade goods.

But even in a sleepy town like Gainesville, there’s always something going on. Greed and revenge seem to be at the root of it all. And our town hasn’t gone unnoticed by someone of the most evil crime bosses.

I can say it’s been my pleasure to help bring them down. In my quiet time, I’ve been learning to cook. Yeah, it’s probably sad to say that it’s taken me until my thirties, but I’m having fun with the challenge. And I made a new friend, Oscar O’Neil. He’s the seventy-year-old widow of Cecelia’s, and I’ve been working to win him over, along with his dog, Peanut, which his wife named. He’s too embarrassed to say Peanut, so he’s been trying to rename the dog Bear. Any guesses on how well that’s going? Ha ha! He makes me laugh.

I enjoy my life and learning new things. And I love snooping around in the old history, along with the many other things I find along the way.

If you want to hear more about my adventures, check in with me in my Baker Street Mystery series. The first one is called Cherry Pie or Die and the fourth book, published in June is Drizzle of Death.

Georgie Tanner didn’t expect much more than old world charm when she led a group of tourists on a visit to a local Amish township. But when a young girl pulls her aside, she discovers a dark underbelly to this peaceful village.

A young man, just returned from Rumspringa – the Amish rite of passage to adulthood – has been found murdered. The girl is terrified to tell any of the elders for fear she’ll be banished from her community. With nobody else for her to turn to, Georgie reluctantly agrees to help.

But when the community moves to cover things up, Georgie discovers her only witness has gone missing. With no evidence and no one willing to listen to her, it’s up to her to find the missing girl before she becomes the next murdered victim. . .

Meet the author
Hi, Everyone! I’m CeeCee James. I’m most well-known for my cozy mysteries, but I also have a few other things up my sleeve. I’m a public speaker as an advocate for adult survivors of child abuse and sexual assault. Here is my personal story, Ghost No More. It’s my story of beauty from ashes.

I’m a USA Today best selling writer who got my story-telling feet wet with the many bedtime stories I told my children through the years. Some of my mystery series include- the Baker Street Mysteries, Angel Lake Cozy Mysteries, and the Oceanside Hotel mysteries. I love writing flawed sleuths with a good sense of humor and an added dash of romance. The Tempting Taste of Danger was a finalist for the kindle book awards for best mystery.

My favorite place to write is curled up in an oversized squashy chair with a cup of coffee and a sleeping dog by my feet. Usually I’m joined by my two mini-dachshunds who like to snore and chase things in their sleep, and squish me into a corner of the chair. In honor of them, there are usually dogs in my books, with the exception of the Angel Lake series, which has a cat in honor of the one in my author picture.

Writing has been a life long passion. I love writing about love and the celebration of life.
