In a few sentences, what is a typical day in your life like?
I usually get up early, drop Thor off at doggie day care, and meet Earl for a cup of coffee at the cafรฉ before I open. Unfortunately, most of my time at the cafรฉ is spent in front of the grill, though Iโd really like to be able to get out front and visit with my guests more often. After I close, I restock everything and prep for the next day, then head home to spend some time playing with Thor. On my rare days off, I either hang out with Savannah or do something with my friend Trevor. Trevor has decided to teach me how to enjoy the Florida wilderness. Yeah, right. Weโll see about that.

I’m not a fan of breakfast foods. At a diner, I’ll usually order something like a grilled cheese if they’re willing to serve “lunch” food.
The story sounds interesting with the side struggle of fighting City Hall.
When I was a kid, I hated breakfast foods, so I always ate leftovers from dinner the night before. I did grow to love breakfast as I got older, though.
I would order a cheese omelet. This series sounds intriguing . I’ve also enjoyed reading the Bay Island Psychic Mysteries.
Thank you so much, Sherry! I usually order omelets, too!
My favorite diner food is country fried steak and gravy with eggs over easy, hashed browns mixed with fried onions and peppers topped with grated cheddar, a bottomless cup of coffee, and then depending on whether I am still hungry after my original order, onion rings or a slice of fruit pie. The latter should be a seasonal fruit, strawberry, marionberry, peach, cherry, blueberry.
Okay, now I’m hungry! I’ve never tried country fried steak or marionberry, but you sure make it sound good.
This series sounds very interesting. I wasn’t familiar with book one but I hope to get it and would also love to be considered for book 2.
I really enjoyed the information given to introduce me to this series. Thank you.
Cynthia
Thank you, Cynthia! If you do read book one, I hope you enjoy it. ๐
Cheeseburgers & fries! I love to try different kinds of burgers & toppings, but my fave is still a good greasy burger!
There is nothing like a good diner burger! Especially with onion rings on top. ๐
Favorite diner food? Well I am split between a good old fashioned burger and fries or the meatloaf special most diners have. Either way, a piece of homemade pie to finish off the experience! Now if I am there for breakfast (a rare treat) it would be French toast and sausage links with tea.
I confess I fell in love with the cover and Thor’s sweet face! Thanks for the chance to win a copy of Murder Made To Order! ๐ถwoof!
Thank you! I love Thor. ๐ I’ve never tried meatloaf from a diner, but I’ll have to one of these days.
Been a long time since I ate in a real diner. I would say a carb fest of an open faced hot turkey or roast beef sandwich. The type on white bread with a pile of mashed potatoes with plenty of gravy smothering all.
I also appreciate the softer meatloaf since they tend to stretch it by adding lots of bread crumbs and diced veggies. Again, with mashed potatoes and all of it smothered in gravy. Hmmm, I’m sensing a trend in what I prefer in diner food.
How can you beat anything smothered in gravy?! I used to order open faced hot turkey and roast beef sandwiches all the time. And I loved the coleslaw and pickle that came with it.
How about chicken fried steak with cream gravy? Yum! This is something I would never make at home.
I’ve never tried that, but it sounds delicious!
I love a burger–big, fat and juicy–with a really large side of fries!!
I enjoyed Scone Cold Killer (love the title!) and am looking forward to reading Murder Made to Order. Love that pup on the cover! Thanks for the chance to win a copy.
Thank you so much!! I’m so happy you enjoyed the story. ๐
Diner burgers always taste better than other burgers for some reason, don’t you think?
Loved meeting Gia and looking forward to reading this!
Thank you, Nicole!
A Bernese mountain dog is a sentient sofa! But eats a lot more!
Lol! That is the perfect description!
I think my favorite diner foods are probably hotcakes or pie. Shoot, now I’m hungry. Thanks for the chance to win this fun book.
Thank you for entering! And I have to admit, after reading all these replies, I’m starved, too!
My favorite diner food is a burger and a shake…or any breakfast!
Mmm…I love burgers and shakes! Especially chocolate!
Thank you so much for having me, Dru!! I always enjoy visiting ๐
I’m not a big fan of breakfast. At a diner I would order meatloaf.
I’ve never tried meatloaf at a diner, but it seems a lot of people like it. I’ll have to give it a try.
Biscuits & sausage gravy or a pork tendorloin sandwich.
Mmm…Sounds delicious!
Meatloaf!
So many people said meatloaf; I’m going to have to try it!
I’m a pancakes girl. I bet the ones at the All-Day Breakfast Cafe are great.
From what I hear, they are delicious!! ๐
My favorite diner type food is an open face roast beef sandwich–mashed potatoes and gravy included!
One of my all-time favorite diner meals!!
**** WINNER ****
Murder Made to Order is Barbara Hackel
Congratulations!
Congratulations, Barbara! I hope you enjoy it. ๐
My favorite dinner is cheeseburgers! When we lived in S.E. Asia we couldnโt get them so when we came home I loved them!
There’s nothing like a cheeseburger from a diner!
