I used to think that the hustle and bustle of living and working in the fashion industry in Manhattan kept me busy, but Manhattan has nothing on Bliss, Texas. When I moved back home to my great-grandmother’s little yellow farmhouse, I had no idea Meemaw’s ghost would be my companion, or that her Cassidy charm would turn matchmaker between Will Flores and me.
But most of all, I didn’t realize that murder would darken my doorstep—over and over and over again. This time, it’s a big time Dallas designer who wound up dead right in my house. Fashion designers, models, my old friend Orphie Cates, and a dead body. None of that is quite what I had in mind when D Magazine arranged to do an article about me and two other local fashion designers, and it definitely wasn’t a good backdrop for my mama’s barbecue wedding nuptials. Marrying sheriff Hoss McClaine was supposed to be a one of a kind event. Cowboy boots and a white cowboy hat with a tuft of tulle attached instead of a veil? That was pure Tessa Cassidy. And I made Mama’s wedding dress, which meant her wishes and dreams should come true.
But murder has a way of interrupting everything, including the perfect wedding between Mama and Hoss, and that’s just want Jean Michel Beaulieu’s death has done. Now the wedding’s off, Orphie’s in big trouble and Deputy Sheriff Gavin McClaine isn’t letting her out of his sight, and nothing’s blissful in my small town.
But fashion and sleuthing have a way of working themselves into my brain and I’m counting on figuring things out, seeing Mama and Hoss properly hitched, and helping Orphie get out of the predicament she’s in.
It’s all in a day’s work at Buttons & Bows.

Congrats to Melissa on the new release! This is a favorite series, I enjoy Harlow Jane very much and the women that surround her! Thanks for the chance to win!
This book sounds awesome ! Thanks for the chance to win 🙂
This is my introduction to this author, sorry to say, but from the description of the books, it is just the beginning of learning about these novels and adding them to my wish list. What a better way to be introduced than by being the recipient of this giveaway! Thank you for that opportunity. Looking forward to getting to know your work, Melissa. Thank you.
This series sounds delightful. Would love to win. thanks
I like the idea of a white cowboy hat with tulle. Now I need to read the rest.
I own a copy of Deadly Patterns and loved it. I’ve seen the White Cowboy hat with tulle, or something similar in the Shepler’s Catalog wedding section back in the 80’s. It was really cute.
Please enter my name in this giveaway. I’d love to add this book to my collection.
I want to read more about the wedding dress! I would wear if getting married again! Thank you for this giveaway.

I was not aware of this series. Sounds great! Thanks for offering the chance to win the book.
Well, this is another new author and series to me. The series sounds lovely. My mother sewed, and although she always said she didn’t like to sew, she did a marvelous job at it. She was even asked to make, & did, her coursin’s wedding dress (more a suit, as it wasn’t a first marriage).
I would certainly like to win this book as an intro to this series — however, the books are going on my TBR list regardless!
This is such a fun series! 🙂
Since this is a Texas series, I know will love it. Another new to me author who will be getting my attention. Thanks, DruAnn.
Another author to add to my list, this looks like a great series.
Dru Ann, thanks for having me here with you today, and thanks to everyone for all the wonderful comments! The series is so much fun to write and I hope you all enjoy it if you give it a try!
Melissa
