Heart of Ice by Gregg Olsen is the second book featuring “Emily Kenyon”. Publisher: Pinnacle, March 2009

Three bodies, three different towns. Each victim was a sorority girl—pretty, privileged, and brutally murdered. There are no fingerprints, no clues. He is scrupulously careful, craving those exquisite seconds when the light fades from his victim’s eyes. But the rush never lasts, and the killing won’t stop—not until one special woman has been made to suffer.

It’s been five years since we’ve last saw Emily who is now sheriff and her daughter Jenna is 22 years old. A pregnant wife is found dead. Three sorority sisters are being killed with the ultimate target being Emily’s daughter. As we read this, we are discovering why he is killing these girls and the real reason why the pregnant wife was killed. This was a thrilling story that I couldn’t put down. The need to know and resolutions for the murdered victims caused me to continue turning the pages. This was an excellent story. My rating: 5 stars
