Cozy Mysteries are my mental health break.
I love cozy mysteries because the “detectives” are always unlikely characters, and in the end, the good guys win and the bad guys lose.
I read cozies by a wide range of authors, I write cozies, and I promote cozies–trying to familiarize the reading public with the term for the books so many love. I think my fascination began with Nancy Drew–me and thousands of other women.
I love cozies because when you watch the news and such it’s all contentious and bad news. Cozies are enjoyable books that take you into friendly hometowns and let you meet friendly people. They are also my favorite genre to write for the same reasons.
I love cozy mysteries because they are a nice escape from real life, but they let me exercise my brain trying to figure out “who dun it”
I love cozies because the characters ate normal regular people who are curious, seek justice for their loved ones & just darn nosy….
Thank you for this generous giveaway!!!
I love cozies because they are filled with characters I can quickly relate to and puzzles that can be solved.
I love cozies because there is nothing graphic, they are usually kind of funny and sweet, and because the murderer is always caught.
The reason I love cozy mysteries are for the characters. They all seem like real people and there is no gory scenes. The murderer is always caught. The towns are places people would like to live even with the murders. They are serious, funny and loving.
Cosy mysteries are believable! They have loving friends and family, with a couple of crazy members thrown in. The situations are real-life happenings: weddings, holidays, birthdays, etc. They encompass food and crafts and books! The series become old friends and we wait to see what is happening from book to book. They make us laugh at some of the antics and situations the characters find themselves in and they make us cry at the loses they go through. Real life. I just hope no one finds so many bodies in real life!
I enjoy cozy mysteries because they are fun. And the protagonist usually has a pet. I love animals!
I fell in love with cozy mysteries when I first read Diane Mott Davidson’s book Tough Cookie — a caterer who made delicious recipes (and the recipes were included in the book!) and solved murders along with a great cast of characters. I enjoy cozy mysteries because they make me happy. There is no gratuitous violence or language, the characters are like friends, the settings are always interesting, and it’s fun to be guessing along with the main character (and his/her sidekicks) as to whodunit. The recipes or crafting projects that sometimes accompany the mysteries are also a bonus.
I love cozies because they remind me of the fun I had as a girl reading Nancy Drew books ☺
I love cozy mysteries because they are a written with very little profanity and gore. Most provide backgrounds of towns/cities existing or not that make you want to book a ticket to visit. Also the inclusion of recipes or craft patterns doesn’t hurt either.
I love cozies because they’re full of great characters & settings, keep me guessing, teach me something, & are very entertaining. Thanks for all the giveaways!
I read cozies for their lovely settings, quirky characters, and to figure out the puzzle of whodunit. They provide a wonderful escape from the real world.
I love cozies because they make me feel cozy…. they make me happy and I love the escape they offer and my favorite part is one; to try and figure it out and two; I like it all tied up in a neat bow.
I love cozy mysteries because I can relate to a lot Of the characters. Also I live in a small town like the ones described in lots of series. I hope to build friendships like these books as well.
I read cozy mysteries because the characters are very relatable. I can imagine going out for coffee with many of these people. The characters encounter real life problems. The settings are also very realistic. I can picture myself living in these places. I really enjoy reading cozies by many different authors.
I love cozy mysteries because they don’t give me nightmares and the do challenge my brain.
Some of the books included in this collection are written by authors withbwhom I’m already familiar. I look forward to making some new friends among the others.
I hope I win!
I love the small town settings, sometimes zany characters, and the fact the good guys win in the end!
I have 2 small kids, a husband, work full time, and go to school. Cozy mysteries are a welcomed break that make me laugh, relax me, and still give my mind a game to play. I get emotionally invested in books so each one is a chance to cheer the heroine and poo-poo the bad guy!
I read cozy mysteries because they allow me to escape into a light-hearted mystery, with limited gore and sex. They allow me to challenge myself as to how quickly I can pick up on the murderer. I really enjoy cozies that also incorporate a touch of the paranormal, because this takes the story out of the realm of our current depressing reality and into true entertainment.
I love cozy mysteries because they are free of graphic details when someone dies,no swearing or graphic love scenes. They also allow me to travel the world from the comfort of my home.
I love the characters and the interactions between them. I love trying to figure out who did it and seeing it if I am right in the end. Also the recipes or crafts that are included.
Cozy mysteries are a great way to unwind and take a break from my busy schedule! I like the humor that most have infused into the characters!

I love the puzzle to it and the humor and the community they introduce in the story.
This is fantastic! I talked to Maria DiRico and she’s very excited about the possibility of being included in a Kensington basket like this when they publish her series in 2020! 😉
I love them because they draw me in straight away and are an easy read.
I love cozy mysteries because they are a way to escape reality for a little bit. I also enjoy the puzzle aspect of trying to figure out who the murderer is. I also enjoy humor with my mystery and a lot of cozies have humor included in the story.
I love cozy mysteries, because you get to know the characters and some become real. Just like friends.
I love cozy mysteries because you are able to escape to these small towns and away from the craziness of real life, but you are also consumed by the book because you need to know who dun it!
I love the cozy mysteries because they pull me in and the characters become real to me and i love feeling like i am in the loop and helping them solve the murder. And all the little quirts of each person.
I love cozy mysteries because they have well developed and relatable characters and an interesting storyline. Cozies keep me guessing until the end with a lot of twists and turns.
I love cozy mysteries because of the characters and the fact that you get to see how their lives and friendships develop. I also enjoy the frequent presence of pets and recipes.
I love the characters in cozy mysteries. I love to see them develop over the course of a series. I also like the escape cozy mysteries provide.
I love reading cozy mysteries because they almost always include the message of the importance of friends, family, and community. I appreciate that they don’t include adult language, graphic violence, or explicit adult situations.
I love something that can be calming and yet still have murder in it 😛 I sit down with a cup of tea and feel like I know the town and the characters and can just lose myself in the story
I love cozy mysteries because they are great reads. Mystery without gore, usually with a small town feel, friendships and possibly a little sweet romance
I started reading cozies to take me away from crazy kids and work. As time went on they just became a relaxing escape. Plus I have all these new friends in the stories that are going through some of the same things as me.
I find cozy mysteries relaxing to read. You never have to read gory details of the murder. They just find the body. Plus they are usually set in small towns. And sometimes there is a love interest and food! Always a good read.
I love cozy mysteries because they help me escape reality. I am disabled, so reading cozys allows my to travel everywhere without leaving my house.
I love reading cozy mysteries because they always have fun and quirky characters. The settings are enjoyable and I love trying to solve the crime.
Cozy mysteries are real life possibilities that would never happen to me, but secretly I wish would happen and include me. Not that I would wish anyone dead or murdered! But working out real life puzzles is appealing! Every cozy may be different, but they are all puzzles to be solved. Aside from sleuthing, cozies offer friendships, sometimes love, and always knowledge about an interesting topic. An unbeatable combination of qualities that are delivered in an entertaining way that keeps me wanting more!
Cozies are my escape from reality but aren’t so far fetched I can’t picture them happening
I have loved cozy mysteries since I was first introduced to Trixie Belden as a child! I love to “cozy” up with a cup of cocoa and a good mystery and disappear from my responsibilities once in awhile. 😀
I like cozy mysteries mostly for what they don’t contain: gory details, intimate details, foul language. They usually contain people with whom I could be friends, animals, hobbies or interesting locations.
I love cozy mysteries because they are fun, not gory or sexualized and easy to read in an evening when I just want to curl up by the fire.

I love cozy books because they are set in beautiful locations, small towns, interesting people, fun hobbies or interesting jobs. Their fun to read and the people are unique. Usually there are pets too and recipes. Thank you for the chance.
I love cozies because they’re an escape from everything, a virtual vacation in a small town with fun people who may stumble onto dead bodies, but at least the description of said dead body is kept to a minimum. The endings are normally happy. Cozies are just plain fun! 🙂
I love cozies because they have fun & interesting characters, great locations & provide hours of entertainment.
Cozies have quirky but smart characters, including humans, animals and ghosts. They are often centered around a business or a occupation that provide interesting info to the reader. The main character always triumphs and everybody, including the reader is happy.
You learn interesting things about all sorts of subjects and you know the heroine will always survive!
Cozies make you think and can get gritty, but you know, in the end, justice will prevail.
Challenging and reassuring.
I love cozies because they allow me to try and outwit the MC and see if I can guess the killer first. Mental gymnastics. And if they have recipes, then it is the best!
I love cozies because you can read them in one sitting, if you like. The characters are so fun you wish they were your best friend. They don’t have a lot of violence and even if there is suspense, you know that in the end, the culprit will be found and the lives of the main characters will continue. I find that I often transport myself to wherever the cozy takes place, so it feels like I have traveled, even when I stay at home. Thanks for the chance to win!

I WANT THAT PRIZE !!!!!
I love cozy mysteries because the characters are more realistic than some other genres. They have lives, relationships and conversations that more people can identify with. I also love the use of themes in story lines, titles, and cover art. The locations created in cozies are more likely places I would be interested in visiting, if the crime rates weren’t so high!!

I love cozies for so many reasons, the settings, the characters, the covers, the storylines, and on and on. With all of that, the one thing that I love the most is they made it possible for me to read again. Long story but due to cognitive issues from m/s I was having trouble reading, my favorite past time. A friend kept telling me about cooking/baking mysteries. Once I found out what in the world she was talking about, cozies saved my reading!!
