This is a delightfully charming series that I enjoyed, written by a wonderful author who gave so much to the mystery writing community and is sorely missed.
Book Synopsis
Haven Harbor is an authentic coastal Maine town—which makes it the perfect location for a new film production. But now it’s become the scene of a crime . . .
Needlepointers Angie and Sarah are helping with set design for the movie being shot in their little New England hometown—but as the lighthouse and the wharves bustle with activity, a real-life drama is about to unfold. The director, Marv Mason, has been harassing the pretty young female lead, and the two exchanged heated words at a lobster bake. Now someone’s lowered the boom on him . . .
After a wayward piece of sound equipment sends him to his death, theories fly about who went off-script. Meanwhile, a local woman’s tragic story about a true love lost at sea, which originally inspired the film, may lead to murderous revelations from long ago. Angie’s got to unravel these mysteries, and may need to give more than one killer the hook . . .

I used to knit, crochet, dabbled in quilting, embroidered, did cross-stitch, draw, paint, sculpt, etc. it was great until I developed a problem with my hands. Now I do some simple stuff, but I can only work for a few minutes at a time.
I crochet afghans. Trying to make hats. Tried knitting but have trouble using 2 needles.
You could try knooking. It only uses one needle
I am renewing my interest in crocheting Afghans and shawls
I like stamped embroidery and can do it quite well. I can knit and crochet some, but only simple patterns.
I admire this kind of art because I don’t do it! Sounds like a great book. Thanks for the chance to win it.
I’ve crocheted and cross stitched, but it’s been several years since I’ve done anything.
I enjoy knitting and I’m trying to learn how to crochet because I find a lot of crocheted projects I would like to make.
I cross stitch, needlepoint, and knit. I’ve dabbled with quilting. I have such a stash of various needlework projects, I need to live forever!
I miss Lea Wait too. 😞
I taught myself how to use a sewing machine about six months ago and now I sew crafty items that I can use in my everyday life like book sleeves, pocket tissue holders, book marks and mini wallets.
What Barb Ross said at Crime Bake was eloquent and pointed. No need to enter me in giveaway, but thanks anyway. I’m buying the book in Lea’s honor because, as Barb noted, it is the best way to celebrate her life and work.
Such a lovely way to honor a writer.
I used to embroider and should return to it. It is soothing and rewarding.
I do all sorts of crafty stuff.I like to do counted cross stitch the most. Going to try to reteach myself how to knit. Thanks for a chance at this great series
I don’t craft unfortunately. I would love to learn how to quilt though. Thank you so much for the giveaway. I really enjoy Lea’s books. She will definitely be missed.
I crochet, sew, and do counted cross stitch and embroidery. this is a lovely way to honor Lea’s memory. Thank you for the chance.
I learned to knit when I was in second grade and I have continued doing it all of my life. As for crochet, I know a few stitches and have made many afghans but I don’t know enough to follow a pattern so that is all I can make. I also used to embroider and made 2 tablecloths for the sole reason that they would become family heirlooms. And then the house burned down; so much for that and I haven’t done any embroidery since.
I do needlepoint, counted cross stitch, and am a knitter. Thank you for the chance.
I don’t craft but my mom knits
I love this series–I’m drawn to books set in Maine. I crochet, but lately not anything too complicated–I find that making large afghans is relaxing, and I have things to give away to friends.
I don’t craft but my daughter in law crochets and I would love to learn. Lea will be missed. So thoughtful to honor her this way.
My mother was not only an art teacher but also a knitting instructor with her own store back in the 1950’s.. I was her walking model of the sweaters she made.. I’d love to win a copy of Lea’s last book for my collection. She will most definitely be missed.
I don’t craft at all.
I’ve been crocheting for awhile and am learning knitting and tatting. Someday I intend to try embroidery. And, it’s a little different, but I like to design board games as gifts for friends and family.
I will miss Lea Waite and her wonderful books. I used to do counted cross-stitch and latch-hook rugs. I don’t do either anymore, since as I’ve gotten older it’s harder to see the patterns.
I’m an avid needlepointer. It’s my therapy. So sad about Lea. She is missed.
I haven’t done any crafts in quite a while. I used to needlepoint and cross stitch. The trouble is I’d rather read!
I crochet and needlepoint. Love both, and feel productive if I’m watching tv too.
I do cross-stitch. Keeps my hands busy! Thanks for a chance at this giveaway. I so miss Lea Wait and her books. Glad there was one more!
I don’t craft myself but my mother did (and I have a very nice quilt that helps keep me warm on the coldest of winter nights) and my sister does a variety of crafting. She’s pretty good at it and has sold her wares at various craft festivals in the local area the last few years.
I’m a latecomer to Lea’s work but I loved the first book in the Mainely Needlepoint series and the first (only) book under the Cornelia Kidd name, Death and a Pot of Chowder.
I love to craft – knit, crochet, cross stitch, needlepoint, sewing, scrapbooking, jewelry making – these days mostly knitting.
I used to do cross stitching and latch hook rugs years ago, but not now! My precious mother who passed away in 2009 did it all….knitting, crocheting….she made the most beautiful things! She made gorgeous Christmas stockings for all of us! We keep her memory alive each year when we hang them by the chimney! I absolutely loved and adored sweet, beautiful Lea Wait, and it broke my heart 💜 when she passed away! I love 💕 all of her books 📚 and miss her so very much! I am so glad she will live on through all of her awesome books! I would be so honored to win a copy of this last book 📖 of hers! Thank you so very much dear Dru for the opportunity! 💜🌈😊
I used to crochet when I was younger. My hands are too shakey to do it now. I miss it.
I can knit a little I should practice. Thank you for the chance
Does collecting quilts count.
I used to do needlepoint, cross stitch, crochet and hook rugs when I was younger. I don’t now.
I am not talented enough to do any crafts. And I’m sorry to say I never had the pleasure of meeting Lea Wait.
I do not do any crafts, but I love seeing others’ projects.
I paint ceramics (the already fired type) and I make jewelry – thanks for the chance to win a book
Yes, I do a bunch of crafts..crochet, paint, draw, scrapbook and more. I am sad for the loss of Lea and yes she is sorely missed! I have some of her books and would love, love, love this one! Blessed Thanksgiving to all.
Nope! My mom is the crafty one!
I enjoy crocheting.
Love to win a copy. I paint much better than I crochet.
Gorgeous cover on that book. would very much like to read. I do a variety of crafts. I embroider (with thread & paint). Cross stitch. Crochet. Needlepoint (Aida & plastic canvas). As well as other crafts. Christmas is coming up. We very carefully open our packages so as to not tear the gift wrap. Then we use that wrap (more generic ones) to cover boxes for use around the house. Such as a gift that came in a 4 inch X 3 inch box. Used the rose print gift wrap & now use the box on the vanity to hold a variety of lipstick colors. I paint. Not just pictures, but painted some empty tin cans, glued them together for use on the desk for pens, ruler, smaller tuna can for paperclips, etc. Was very sorry to hear of Lea’s death in August. I was just beginning to read her books and was looking forward to reading more. I hope a win here will help with that. I appreciate this. Thank you for the chance.
I don’t needlepoint or quilt but I admire people who do and I collect vintage pieces when I get the chance. Thank you for the contest.

I am a crafter and have dobbled in a little of everything. I crochet, paint in oil and presently enjoy beading. It delights me to see the smiles on the faces of everyone I gift my items to. robeader53(at)yahoo(dot)com
I used to crochet & needlepoint & embroidery. Now I have hand issues so I scrapbook.
My mother was an avid embroiderer…we love to use her tea towels and pillowcases. I wish I would have learned how to quilt using the cathedral windows pattern my grandmother did by hand.
I used to do needlepoint but now all I have in my free time is reading!
I used to knit & crochet, but more on the beginner’s level..
I do various crafts. Wreaths, centerpieces, painting, making cards and scrapbooking. I’ve made ornaments, bookmarks, “ugly” Christmas shirts and lots more. I love crafting!!
I recently started painting with acrylics. I’m loving it, and the cats enjoy knocking the (clean) brushes on the floor and chasing them around. 😉
I have crocheted and knitted for over 50 years. Now that I’m older and retired I do more crocheting. I love to crochet lapghans for my neighbors, friends and the elderly especially when they are feeling down. They love them and call them their “therapy blankets”. Love the storyline in this book.
