Mama Gets Hitched by Deborah Sharp is the third book in the “Mace Bauer” mystery series. Publisher: Midnight Ink, July 2010

According to Mama, a Gone with the Wind-themed wedding—complete with Scarlett O’ Hara bridesmaid gowns and a ring-bearing Pomeranian—is fine and dandy for her fifth trip down the aisle. But what’s a bridezilla to do when her caterer is murdered? Thanks to the nonstop gossip train in their small Florida town, Mama’s gator-wrestling daughter Mace is getting the dirt on who did it.

Unfortunately, the suspect list is longer than the gift registry. Right at the top are the groom’s East Coast Yankee cousins—who may have Mafia ties. With her on-again, off-again beau, Detective Carlos Martinez, Mace must track down the killer before Mama’s Special Day turns especially deadly.

What a fun read. Mama is getting married and it has turned into the Ceremony of the Century. When the caterer is found dead in the kitchen by Mace, you know Mama’s day will be more than just special. Mace and her sisters are determined to find the killer and the events that lead up to the wedding is worth reading this book. You have to laughed at Mama’s bridezilla attitude and the outfits that the sisters are wearing for her 5th wedding. Again, what a great story and I can’t wait to read “Mama Sees Stars,” the next book in the series. My rating: 5 stars
