Black Cats, Corpses and the Pumpkin Pantry by Rachael Stapleton (Cozy)
House flippers Jack & Juniper agree to fix up the Von Tassel mansion, an old Dutch farmhouse estate known as Sleepy Hollow, which happens to be hosting this year’s Haunted Pumpkin Patch festivities. They’re expecting old carpets, and warped posts, not a revolutionary war ghost.
Killing Time by Suzanne Trauth (Cozy)
With Halloween just around the corner, Dodie O’Dell is making preparations to transform the Windjammer Restaurant on the Jersey Shore into a haunted house, while the Etonville Little Theatre is staging Dracula. But casting the titular Transylvanian is proving challenging. The amateur actors in the company are not shy about chewing the scenery, but who among them can convincingly sink their fangs into a victim’s neck?
Elvis and the Heartbreak Hotel Murders by Peggy Webb (Cozy)
New parents Callie and Jack, Mooreville’s answer to Mr. and Mrs. 007, head to a much-needed weekend getaway in Memphis.
