Hi guys, I’m Mia Malone and I’m the new owner of what used to be the scary run down building in the Magic Springs neighborhood. Actually, it’s not that bad, now that I took out a few truck loads of trash and added some locks on the doors. I’m painting now. Soon, St. Catherine’s Academy will be the new home of Mia’s Morsels.

I’m opening a dinner delivery, take out dinner, and catering company. In a small town, I need to be open to all types of money making plans. I’ve been in the catering game for years now, but I’ve been working for someone else all this time. My last boss was also my lying, cheating ex-fiancé. But that’s besides the point. Today, I’m focusing all my energy and good feelings on getting this place up and my new life started.

The good news is my grandmother lives in Magic Springs. She’s lived here most of her life. She’s the reason I even got to buy the building. The historical society she belongs to had owned the building but didn’t have the money to update the building. Or maintain, from the looks of it. The place is going to kill me in utility bills, but I don’t care. I’ve got a good feeling about it.

And, thanks to my grandmother, I also have my first catering job. I’m doing a birthday party for the meanest woman in Magic Springs. She’s also my Grans’ best friend. And the swing vote that kept the building from going to a greedy realtor who believes he’s a developer.

So all I have to do is get this place in shape, make the party a success so more jobs will come my way, and deal with my grandmother. I’m pretty sure she thinks my return is a sign that I’m taking back up my duties as a kitchen witch.

Yeah, you heard that right. My grandmother and I are both kitchen witches. For me, it’s all about the food and the feel of home. Grans’ on the other hand has been trying to solve the issue of world peace most of her life. She thinks she needs a bit more cinnamon in the potion.

Chat with you later. This wall isn’t going to paint itself. Although, I could use my magic, but that’s just not done. It’s one of the rules.

What’s a kitchen witch to do when her almost-fiancé leaves her suddenly single and unemployed? For Mia Malone, the answer’s simple: move to her grandmother’s quirky Idaho hometown, where magic is an open secret and witches and warlocks are (mostly) welcome. With a new gourmet dinner delivery business—and a touch of magic in her recipes—Mia’s hopes are high. Even when her ex’s little sister, Christina, arrives looking for a place to stay, Mia takes it in stride.

But her first catering job takes a distasteful turn when her client’s body is found, stabbed and stuffed under the head table. Mia’s shocked to learn that she’s a suspect—and even more so when she realizes she’s next on a killer’s list. With Christina, along with Mia’s meddling grandma, in the mix, she’ll have to find out which of the town’s eccentric residents has an appetite for murder. . .before this fresh start comes to a sticky end. . .
