The Double Cheese Burger Murder by Rosie A. Point is the second book in the “Burger Bar” cozy mystery series, coming August 1, 2019.

Another murder. Another burger. And Christie Watson is back on the case!

Suspended detective Christie Watson has decided not to get involved in any more murder cases. She’s got to keep her nose clean in case her old boss checks in on her. There’s plenty of fun to be had in Sleepy Creek–delicious double cheeseburgers, hilarious antics from the terrible twins, and. . . mysterious strangers hanging around?

When another resident of the town dies, Christie realizes that staying out of this case might be the one thing she can’t afford to do. Especially, when her best friend’s innocent cousin becomes suspect number one.

Can she solve the case before another Sleepy Creeker is killed?

This nicely-crafted tale boasts a tightly-woven plot and a solid mystery with the right amount of intrigue to satisfy my curious nature. With visually descriptive narrative, engaging dialogue, a hint of romance and a quirky and likable cast of characters, I was immersed in all aspect as Christie search for the person responsible for the crime. The author did a good job in sprinkling clues throughout and the pacing was on par with how well this story was being told. This was an enjoyable book to read and I look forward to more adventures with Christie and her friends in this short novella series.
