Reading is an adventure that I enjoy and the three books below kept me entertained me from the first page until all was said and done. They boasted a solid mystery which was fun to figure out with alongside the main protagonist.
The Next Deadly Chapter by V.M. Burns
Series Name: Mystery Bookshop Mystery #10
Genre: Cozy
Dru’s very short musing
Sam and friends, including newly met M-I-L head off to a long weekend at a casino resort. Switching rooms causes havoc when a dead man is found in MIL’s room and Sam takes matter into her hand. With Nana Jo and her compatriots, the team investigates using all the resources at their hand to find a killer hiding in plain view. The author does a great job in bringing this story alive with visually descriptive narrative, engaging dialogue and an all-around feel-good atmosphere that makes this delightfully charming novel is one of the best books in this endearing series.
Vows Of Murder by Lynn Cahoon
Series Name: Tourist Trap Mystery #17
Genre: Cozy
Dru’s very short musing
I’ve been waiting for this day since the first book in the series…Jill and Greg tie the knot. Along the way, there’s a murder mystery to solve and a wedding to plan. The murder takes center stage, and I enjoyed seeing all the characters having a pivotal role in both subplots. The author knows how to tell a story that kept me immersed in all that was happening, quickly becoming a page-turner as I had to know who the killer was and attend the wedding. Another great read in this long-running series.
Snowy With A Chance Of Murder by Jessica Fletcher and Barbara Early
Series Name: Murder She Wrote Mystery #60
Genre: Cozy
Dru’s very short musing
In this well-written drama, Jessica is sidelined but when her new neighbor is murdered, Jessica does some investigating to find the person responsible. The author did a great job in creating a solid mystery with suspects, clues and a few red herrings to keep me in the game. When all the pieces started to fit the puzzle, only one person was standing. This was brilliantly done, and I can’t wait to see what awaits Jessica and her friends.
Three more wonderful installments of these wonderful writers.
Can’t wait to read all three of these.
I know I’m not supposed to thank you for a review, but, THANKS!! It took me a while to get these two to tie the knot.
Love the “mini musings”
I am a big VM Burns (and all the other ways her name appears) but haven’t read this yet. I’m looking forward to enjoying the others as well.
