Double Agent by Gretchen Archer is the eighth book in the “Davis Way Crime Caper” series. Publisher: Henery Press, coming March 26, 2019.

THIS JUST IN—

On the weather front, Category Four Hurricane Kevin took a last-minute left and is headed straight for the Bellissimo Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.

In breaking news, Undercover Casino Operative Davis Way has one foot out the evacuation door when fifty million dollars disappear, and in its place, a dead body.

In other news, if forced to ride out the storm on the hotel’s thirteenth-floor fortress, Davis won’t be alone. Her husband, Bradley, her best friend, Fantasy, and a crew of highly trained first responders will be hurricane hostages too, along with Mississippi State Gaming Agents, a FEMA agent, an insurance agent, a State Special Agent, and an Emergency Response Agent—at least one of them a double agent.

The good news is her high school reunion is cancelled. The bad news is everything else. The fake news features a castaway pig named Bacon.

The hurricane heist headlines will be sensational. If Davis survives to see them. Grab your rain slicker and galoshes for Double Agent, A Davis Way Crime Caper, and prepare yourself for a perfect storm of humor, hijinks, and heart.

BEST BOOK in the series thus far and one of my favorites. Gretchen Archer is a gifted writer. How you take a series after eight books and kept it fresh is a testimony to her talent. A hurricane. A heist. A disaster. Just a typical day in the life of Davis Way and it’s her strength and fortitude that propels this engaging and entertaining force of nature into the stratosphere. This fast-paced, jam-packed and action-filled tale is driven by visually descriptive narrative that placed me in the middle of all the drama as I also hunkered down with Davis and the crew. Expertly written with great aplomb, this book was an adrenaline rush waiting to happen as with each turn of a page, a new situation arose and the team had to do what they do best with what they had on hand – and that was Filet. A fantastic ride that left me wanting more. Again, the best book in the series and I can’t wait for more adventures with Davis, Bradley, Fantasy and the gang.
