She’s taken a job offering painting instruction to well-heeled travelers and her boss—a rather unpleasant English lord—has turned up dead in his penthouse. Maggie’s left with a palazzo full of suspicious guests, a valuable painting her boss might have stolen, and a policeman who’s decided she’s the prime suspect. Now Maggie must keep the tour up and running while she tracks the killer and works to clear her name.

Dru’s Musing:
This fast-paced and well-written drama immediately grabbed my attention, quickly becoming a page-turner as I had to know how this was going to end. The mystery was nicely down keeping me immersed in all aspects from the murder to the bevy of suspects to Maggie looking for clues to clear her name. The author did a great job telling this tale with a wickedly solid plot, a few twists and turns that enhanced my reading pleasure, an exotic cast of characters that was a delight to follow along with and the perfect backdrop of beautiful Rome taking center stage. The pacing was on par with how well this story was being told with visually descriptive narrative and engaging dialogue. Overall, this was a delightful tale that set the stage for the next book in this enjoyable debut series.
