Dru’s Short Musing:
Widowed, Rain return to her family’s home and things are not the same, especially when a dead body is found on the property with ties to her mother. With help from friends, they start looking for people with stronger motive to want the victim dead and in the process learn more than she can chew on.

This was a fast-paced, well-written, and an easy read. The mystery was nicely done with the right amount of intrigue and suspense to keep me in the game. A few red herrings were tossed into the mix to keep me entrenched in all that was happening. The backdrop of the lakeside setting, the character development, the engaging dialogue as well as snippets of humor enhanced my reading pleasure. I look forward to more adventures in this delightfully charming new series.
