This book quickly became a page-turner as I could not put this book down. When it looks like her boyfriend is the prime suspect, Sam along with her brother and BFF start an investigation that leads to murder, treasure hunting and betrayal. And boy, what a read. I like how the author set this up with just the right number of suspects who had stronger motives. It was the entanglement of the various characters and the engaging dialogue that kept me consumed by what was going on from finding the body, to the multiple break-ins, to the emotional turmoil and to the Hawaiian backdrop. Snippets of humor was present in the telling of this murder mystery that kept me entertained throughout. I had an idea of the killer’s identity and it was the path that the author took that led to the final confrontational with the surprising twist of the motive behind the murder, a twist I did not see coming. Good job. This was an enjoyably fun book and I look forward to more adventures with Sam and her friends in delightfully amusing series.
