In this Thanksgiving twist on Rear Window, a seemingly ordinary holiday gathering takes a dark turn when a squabble across the street turns into something deadly… When a freak accident sidelines klutzy fabric store owner Polyester Monroe, she’s destined to enjoy her Thanksgiving party from a wheelchair by her window. But when shady actions in the apartment across the street catches her attention, she’s less concerned with mobility than credibility; her friends are quick to write off her fears as folly.

Dru’s Short Musing:
A good deed lands Poly in a wheelchair ala Rear Window and a sighting catches her eye with thoughts of mischief and mayhem.

This is a well-written whodunit that quickly became a page-turner as I could not put this book down until all was said and done. The mystery was nicely executed, keeping me immersed in all that was happening from celebrating Thanksgiving meal with friends and family, from looking for clues that may or may not be there, from tension amongst her guests and so on. The author did a terrific job in teasing this reader with “did she” or “did she not” see something suspicious, especially with Poly’s steadfast claim that someone was murdered. The pacing reached its high point when Poly’s nosiness propelled others to take action and we discover the truth of her sighting. Overall, this was a delightfully entertaining tale.
