Dru’s Short Musing:
When a customer dies after eating one of her cookies, Felicity puts on her detective cap to find the person responsible and to clear her name.
This well-written whodunit had a comfortable tone and crisp writing that made it easy to follow along with what the author intended. The mystery had a solidly wicked plot, a small pool of suspects, and several red herrings that kept me immersed in all that was happening. The pacing was on par with how well this story was being told. I love how the author delved into the suspects past to uncover the one motive that stood above the rest. There was enough back and forth that kept me in the game and when I thought I had figured it out, like a light bulb switch, the author changed direction all to enhance my reading pleasure. Overall, this was an enjoyably engaging read and I look for more exploits with Felicity and her friends.
