Ms. Bruns knows how to tell a story by delivering an enticingly well-written and fast-paced whodunit with a tightly crafted drama that pulled me in immediately with the first page. The mystery was well-defined with plenty of suspects where the list grew as the story moved forward. It is the dialogue, the interactions and the clues that are sprinkled throughout, with a few plot twists, that kept me glued to the visually descriptive narrative, detailed to whisk out and narrow the suspect pool where only one person was left standing holding the proverbial bag. When I thought I had a handle on the killer’s identity, the author changed directions and I was like “whoa, I didn’t see that tidbit coming,” all to enhance my reading pleasure. The one thing I love about this series is the relationship between Tessa and her cousins and friends. It gives off a comfy read where you want to know more about their lives and the role it plays in this character-driven series. This is another great addition to this delightfully delectable and entertaining series and I can’t wait to see where we go next with Tessa and her friends.
