A dead body in the woods … A rare sapphire is missing … The connection changes her life forever. Olivia Penn is looking forward to spending time with her friends and family over the holidays in her hometown of Apple Station, Virginia. The Christmas season’s spirit has sparked a new romance, and all is looking merry and bright, until she is mistaken for a dead woman.
Dru’s Short Musing:
She doesn’t mean to, but once again Olivia is embroiled in another police investigation, especially when it involves her love interest.
The author did a great job in setting the stage for this intriguing whodunit filled with secrets, mischief and mayhem. I enjoy the comfortable tone and the crisp writing that makes it easy to follow along with what the author has intended. The mystery was executed to keep me immersed in all that was happening. The suspect pool was enticing as it was fun narrowing down the list. The clues were there to decipher and the more it connected, the more it was clear who was not the murderer until a strategically placed twist put it all together and the person responsible was standing holding the gun. The ending was a nice conclusion to this pleasantly appealing drama. Overall, another great book from the author and I can’t wait to see where we go next with Olivia, Preston, and her friends.

Thanks so much for your very kind words, Dru Ann! I deeply appreciate you featuring my new book among your musings!
And once again the Brooklyn and Queens County libraries show how little taste they have by not offering this book to their customers.
You crack me up! But tell me how you really feel! Thanks though for checking out Dru’s musing, and perhaps once it’s “officially” published on 11/7, maybe they would be more amenable to a patron request. I do love the way you think.
