In the charming Scottish shire of Nairn, sweater shop owner Paislee Shaw must root out a garden variety killer. . .
Paislee’s custom sweater and yarn business, Cashmere Crush, is the sole support for not only the single mum and her ten-year-old son Brody, but also her eccentric Gramps and Wallace, their black Scottish terrier. So when her landlord, Shawn Marcus, serves her an eviction notice and then pulls a disappearing act, she’ll go to any lengths to find the man and reason with him.
Shawn is heir to the Leery Estate, which Brody’s class will be visiting on a field trip. So Paislee volunteers to chaperone in the hopes of tracking down Shawn and killing two birds with one stone. Unfortunately, the only one killed is a man Paislee sees falling out of the hedges after being shot. It’s not her missing landlord, but Lady Leery’s nephew, Charles Thomson. Gruff DI Mack Zeffer is on the case, but Paislee also has a stake in flushing out the shooter. With suspects sprouting up like weeds, Paislee may need to hedge her bets until she can determine who is trying to lead her down the garden path . . .

Thanks for letting us get to know Paislee better.
I like that they’re good clean fun. I enjoy the themes, such as animals or crafts.
I like that they are never graphic. So you get the puzzle without the gore. I also like how the main characters are usually so nice. Like a good friend.
I enjoyed the first book in this series and look forward to this one.
Cozy mysteries are my very favorite kind of mystery, because the ones I read are by great plot developers with outrageously interesting and unique characters who almost always have a pet sidekick and I get to travel to places I have not been and would love to see. A Scotland location, a Scottish Terrier dog, a young son and a “best bestie,” oh this is a book I really want to read.
Trying to solve the mystery before the sleuth does.
I enjoy cozies, as there is no violence & the main character has a fun job which the readers can also learn a new hobby….
Cozies generally take their time developing the main characters, their surroundings, and their relationships. I enjoy that leisurely unfolding.
When I want to escape to somewhere nice and lovely, cozy mysteries are perfect for me ~
I like reading cozies because they have relatable characters, charming small town settings and interesting occupations and a plot that keeps you wondering “who did it”.
I love cozies because they entertain me and also educate me on things I’d never thought to investigate before. I enjoy stories from all over the U.K. The depth of details you can learn about a county or town is amazing.
I like cozy mysteries because they’re more entertaining and the plot keeps you guessing until the end.
It was fun getting to know the author better. The reason I love cozies is because it is a relaxing escape for me. I love a good mystery but I don’t want all the gory graphic descriptions that some of them can have. That is what makes cozies superior to me.
I enjoy cozy mysteries, the characters and plots are interesting.
I like cozies because they’re usually fun to read, with not a lot of on-screen violence.
