I know exactly what P.P. stands for. They can’t fool me! Pity Party, that’s what. Okay, maybe I did do some whining when I first moved to Moraine, Wisconsin. One really is the loneliest number! I’ve had a crappy life…boy, could I tell you some horror stories!
But things have improved for me since Story Fischer became my BFF. She lives next door, with that cop and his K-9 partner, which is a big fat mistake. Not the dog, the guy. Sure, he’s cute and all, but, as I keep trying to pound into Story’s head, a woman doesn’t need a man to be complete. If anything, they slow you down, rob you of your freedom, and you end up as some kind of household pet.
Take me, for a perfect example of a strong and independent woman.
I’m not afraid to take down a bad guy. No matter how big and scary. I have my ways, but I can’t mention them because…well, just let’s leave it at that. I have my ways. And, believe me, the end has justified the means every single time. But for some reason my best friend can’t wrap her head around that truth. Story should accept my methods by now, since I’ve bailed her out of more than one sticky situation.
She’s always had a hard time expressing gratitude though. I accept her quirks. That’s what friends do, right? And I really try to respect her wishes, even if they are wrong, wrong, wrong.
Because this time Story is in way over her head. She’s got herself involved with the witch who moved in on our street. What was she thinking? Good thing she has me. Now, where did I store my warding off witches equipment? There, found it.
Time for a rescue from yours truly.

I’m warming up to P.P.Patti. Good series and I know the Scottish series will be excellent, too, because the writer is so good.
This book is patiently sitting in my purse, just waiting for me to get to it. I’m not so patient, but I don’t want to start it as long as I’ll have to keep putting it down all the time. I know it’s going to be a great read 🙂

Thank you for the review and the giveaway. I really have enjoyed the series. P.P. Patti is a hoot and sometimes I do feel bad for her, but she hangs in there with Story being her BFF.
I would like to read about the zany escapades.
…bothered and bewildered, am I
