I do not click on every blog post that arrives in my email. First, I try to see if the subject interests me. Even so, I only click on posts by bloggers whom I follow, not anything that randomly shows up. In the case of posts concerning new literature, again, I will look to see if the subject interests me before I follow it. I receive hundreds of emails every day. Getting rid of the unwanted ones takes time.
I totally understand as feel the same.
I’m going to ditto what Judy Singer said. I only click on links of bloggers/people I know and if the subject interests me–aka if the lead up draws me in. If I click, there’s a good chance I’ll read the entire post. I follow your links from your FB page not from emails. I subscribe to very few newsletters because I’m obsessive about keeping a clean email box. Hope that helps.
Yes it does. I’ve been cutting back on my newsletters as well.
I struggled with how to complete the survey because the answer to the first question is “sometimes.” If a blog post has the info in the body of the email a lot of times I won’t. If I am in a busy phase and only looking for emails that need immediate response, often I won’t click through.
Thanks. This helps a lot and yes, I should have included sometimes.
This survey is difficult as it depends on who and what the blog post is as to whether or not I read it.
Same applies to the same the second question.
I was really looking to see if people are reading blogs (doesn’t matter the content) or just deleting the email.
