This is about Ashley Adams who finally escaped a 10-year abusive marriage. While training for a marathon, someone is shot dead in front of her and now she is running for her life. Enters Detective Rick Edwards who remember the cowering woman and handling his own demons see how strong Ashley has become and together they will solve the question of who wants her dead. This was a good read.
