Agatha Award winner Katherine Hall Page presents a book of short stories featuring her famed heroine Faith Fairchild.
For years, Katherine Hall Page has delighted readers with her Faith Fairchild series, each book like a delicious, satisfying meal. Now, Page has whipped up a tasty collection of appetizing bites.
In “The Body in the Dunes,” Faith’s vacation offers more excitement than she and her husband bargained for when a terrified woman knocks on their hotel room door looking to hide from her husband. A case hits close to home in “The Proof is Always in the Pudding,” when Faith investigates a generations-old superstition that has been passed down in her husband’s family. Faith and her sister, Hope, counsel a bride-to-be suffering a number of alarming “accidents” before the big day in “Across the Pond.” In “Sliced,” Faith switches from contestant to detective when a killer reality television cooking competition turns deadly.
Small Plates also includes some irresistible standalone treats, including the Agatha Award–winning “The Would-Be Widower,” about a husband who longs to be rid of his wife, and “Hiding Places” in which a young wife’s new husband may not be all that he appears.
These stories and more will entice Faith Fairchild fans and new readers alike. Filled with the charm, wit, and the appeal of her beloved novels, Small Plates is a feast for every lover of traditional mysteries.

I stumbled on Faith Fairchild while wandering around the mystery section of the library in Roswell, NM, a loooong time ago. I was intruiged by the relationship between Faith and her husband, and then got sucked in by the plots and the good writing. I’m in for this drawing.
Faith is one of my favorites – she is just the perfect role model.
Just back from very moving Memorial Day ceremony up here in Maine, a tribute to those who served in the Vietnam War especially. About to head back to Massachusetts, so will check in later. Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments!
Happy Memorial Day everyone! Thanks for another giveaway.
I enjoy these books (although I must confess I am behind!). A book of short stories would be great for summer.

I’m so glad you reviewed this book. For some reason after reading everyone of he books, I thought it was a cookbook.Silly me and now a must read.
In the late 1990’s I read “The Body in the Fjord” because we were going there to visit & meet relatives. I loved the intro to Norway but was told this was a book that didn’t involve Faith Fairchild, but Pix. I never got back to her series and this sounds like the perfect book to learn a little more about Faith Fairchild, and perhaps start reading her series. I know she has a large following. :-).
I would love to win this book!
I love her books, and would really enjoy this one. I really like the cover. Thanks for this chance to win it.

What an intriguing cover and title. I really love Katherine’s series and this title sounds like my cup of tea.
Back in Massachusetts after a VERY long drive and it was lovely to read all these! (There is actually a series cookbook, Have Faith in Your Kitchen, that I did a few years ago and in the introduction I explain why there are recipes in the books-at the end.)
Hope everyone has a great week and again, thank you Dru!
I have come to a greater appreciation of short stories in recent years. Love books, but short stories can keep the entertainment flowing.
Yes, I agree. I find I reread favorite SSs over and over. One of my favorite nonmystery SS writers is Ellen Gilchrist. Wonderful characters and a strong sense of place.
Katherine Hall Page is one of my favorite authors. Thank you for a chance to win this collection.
