Sunny Meadows sits down for a question-and-answer session with dru’s book musings so that we, the readers, can get to know her better. Sunny, take it away!

What is your full name?
Sunshine Meadows but everyone calls me Sunny.

How old are you?
30

What is your profession?
I’m a psychic who uses fortune-telling tools to help me with my visions.

Do you have a significant other?
Yes, I’m engaged.

What is their name and profession?
Detective Mitch Stone

Do you have any children?
Not yet, but I would like to have children, and I think I’ve finally convinced my fiancé to say yes.

Do you have any siblings?
Nope, just me. That’s probably why my parents are so overprotective.

Are your parents nearby?
They used to live in NYC but retired and moved to Divinity to take over the inn called Divine Inspiration.

Who is your best friend?
Smokey Jo’s Tavern owner, Joanne Burnham West, better known as Jo.

Do you have any pets?
An immortal cat I call Morty, but I’m more like his pet as he came with the place I’m living in and allowed me to stay.

What town do you live in?
Divinity

Do you live in a small town or a big city?
I used to live in the Big Apple, but I moved to a small town in central NY.

Type of dwelling and do you own or rent?
I bought an ancient Victorian house I call Vicky.

What is your favorite spot in your home?
My place of business, Sunny’s Sanctuary, is the room where I give my readings, and my special place.

Favorite meal and dessert?
I love to eat pretty much everything.

Do you have any hobbies?
My Granny Gert is the baker of the family. I can’t knit or sew either. I’m not much for the gym. But I do love to read, and I’m really into all kinds of tea.

What is your favorite vacation spot?
Vacation? What’s that, lol. I haven’t been anywhere, but I’m hoping to go to Hawaii for my honeymoon. I just love sunny places.

What music do you listen to?
I like a lot of music, but I really like folk music and southern rock.

Do you have a favorite book?
Why, any cozy mystery, of course. I just love trying to figure out whodunit. And I especially like a little humor and clean romance in the story.

What is your idea of a really fun time?
Curling up on the couch with a good book and a cup of tea, or watching movies snuggled up with my hunky detective.

If you were to write a memoir, what would you call it?
The Troublesome Life of Sunny Meadows (since trouble seems to follow me wherever I go).

Amateur or professional sleuth and whom do you work with?
Definitely amateur. The mayor is a true believer and has a reading every week, believing my skills are essential in finding new leads for the cases the Divinity Police department has. So they sometimes use me as a consultant. My fiancé Detective Mitch Stone isn’t too pleased, but I don’t let that stop me from getting at the truth.

In a few sentences, what is a typical day in your life like?
I’m not an early riser. I’m not a fan of exercise, either. I typically have a cup of tea, tend to Morty even though I’ve never seen him eat or sleep (hence the reason I think he’s immortal), and then start my readings for the day. When I have breaks, I visit the inn to see my parents or I stop by Smokey Jo’s Tavern to catch up with my friends. Then it’s dinner at home with Mitch, which usually involves takeout or Mitch cooking. We sometimes go for a drive in my VW Bug and stop by Mini Central Park to see the resident swans.

What is a typical day when you are on a case?
Oh, boy, there’s nothing typical about that. I just can’t stand to see people I care about accused of murder. Technically, I’m supposed to be working with the police, but I often venture out on my own when a clue pops up. I’m kind of impulsive and don’t want to miss out on a chance to unearth the truth, often landing me in trouble with my fiancé detective. Thankfully, my faithful sidekick Morty usually appears just when I need him.
