Trevor Galloway first appeared in Bolt Action Remedy and one of the best ways to learn about a person is by asking questions, so let’s get to know Trevor.
What is your name?
Trevor Galloway.
How old are you?
You won’t believe me, because I look much older than my actual age. Let’s just say I’m in my mid-forties, but carry a high-mileage countenance.
What is your profession?
People have referred to me a private investigator, but I’m not officially licensed. I know I should have gotten my license, but that ship has sailed. These days, with my sketchy background, there’s no chance of that happening. I used to be a narcotics detective in Pittsburgh, but got forced out for various reasons.
Do you have a significant other?
. . .I had someone. She’s gone now.
What is her name and profession?
Move on.
Any children?
No.
Do you have any sibling(s)?
None.
Do your parents live near you?
Both are deceased.
Who is your best friend?
Chase Vinson. He’s a detective in my former department. He’s my only friend.
Cats, dogs or other pets?
No. It’s best if I’m alone.
What town do you live in?
Pittsburgh, PA.
House or building complex? Own or Rent?
I own a home in the Brookline section of Pittsburgh. It’s not much, but it suits my needs. I just moved back in after they let me out of the. . .institution.
What is your favorite spot in your house?
It all seems oddly unfamiliar to me these days. It’s hard to explain what it’s like to be a stranger in your own home. That’s how it feels with the medication most days. I can’t really focus my mind when I’m on the meds, but it keeps them away.
Favorite meal? Favorite dessert?
When I eat, I eat.
Favorite hobby?
I used to run. I loved running. I should get back into that someday.
Favorite color?
Never really thought about it.
Favorite author?
Dostoevsky. The human conscience is a powerful force.
Favorite vacation spot?
I grew up in Atlanta and like making trips to Savannah. Maybe I’ll get back there someday.
Favorite sports team?
I’m a suffering Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
Movies or Broadway?
Movies. I love the classics.
Are you a morning or a night person?
Night.
Amateur sleuth or professional?
Professional, but my legal status as such is questionable at best. People say I’m one of the best when everything is clicking. The problem is: I’m an addict. When I relapsed in the past, I’d fill the void with something – heroin, pills, or a puzzle. I thought working cases would be the safest addiction, but that hasn’t worked out for me thus far.
Whom do you work with when sleuthing?
Chase Vinson is my confidant and source for inside information. I rely more on him then he’ll ever know.
Oh. . .and when I’m off my medication, I’m haunted by multiple hallucinations, some benevolent and others malicious. They complicate matters since I’m being hunted by a violent drug gang and the presence of unreal killers makes it a bit tough to pick out the real ones.
In a few sentences, what is a typical day in your life like?
If I only knew.
You can read about Trevor in Forgiveness Dies, the third book in the “Trevor Galloway” thriller series, released October 14, 2019.
Upon being released after three years of incarceration in a psychiatric facility, former narcotics detective and unlicensed PI Trevor Galloway has no idea how to begin picking up the pieces of his shattered life. Having lost the woman he loved and exacting revenge upon those responsible, he is irreparably broken, heavily medicated, and unemployable.
When former Secret Service agent Nick Van Metre knocks on Trevor Galloway’s door, the last thing he expected was a job offer. However when the head of Metal Security hands Galloway a stack of photos and asks for his assistance with investigating a series of threats against a controversial presidential candidate, the former detective is stunned.
Galloway initially takes the case, but eventually has to question his own sanity after he reports an encounter with intruders who seem to have left no trace in his home. When Nick Van Metre turns up dead and an attack is carried out against Dennis Hackney, the former detective with a history of extreme violence becomes the focal point of multiple investigations.
Galloway pulls clues from photos and searches for answers while dodging bullets in Pittsburgh and Savannah. Get set for a mystery told at a breakneck pace, with each of the chapters being linked to photograph in roll of film. Look for the hints. Watch for the signs. Trevor Galloway doesn’t trust himself. Can you trust him? The answers won’t be revealed until the final photo is flipped.

This author is one that my husband had read his previous books and I’m happy to know that there is this latest one that I can get him for an early Christmas gift! Thank you for this information Dru Ann.
Yeesh. Poor Trevor has been through the wringer. Maybe he should move South to Savannah where the warmth and sunshine can lighten his moods.
