Why do you write the genre that you write?
Both of my grandmothers had stacks of mysteries next to their beds, so I grew up with this genre. I like the fact that in a mystery there are real problems, usually with consequences, that need to be handled. A good mystery counts on the reader being observant, and therefore, your brain has to be engaged when you’re reading. For me, a mystery provides the perfect escape: a little danger, a lot of brainpower, and justice is done in the end.

Tell us how you got into writing?
Books were my way of escaping from a chaotic and violent home life. Books promised me a better life, and they’ve kept their word.

What’s next for you?
So much! We’re finishing the edits on: 1.) Rising Water, the first book in my new mystery series called “The Tai Chi Cozy Mystery Series.” It features an older woman amateur sleuth who moves from a sleepy Missouri town to Washington, DC. 2.) Christmas at Ferndean Manor: Book #3 in the Jane Eyre Chronicles. 3.) Sand Trapped: Book #6 in the Cara Mia Delgatto Mystery Series.

What are you reading now?
Walter Isaacson’s Leonardo di Vinci. This dovetails perfectly with online art lessons I’m taking. I’m also listening to an audiobook, Silence for the Dead by Simone St. James.

Where can we find you?
