Why do you write the genre that you write?
I write cozy mysteries to make readers laugh and hopefully to give them a little escape from the tougher things in life.

How did you come up with your pseudonym?
I was once told to choose something easy for readers to remember, hard to misspell and near the beginning of the alphabet. From there, I check to see if someone else is already writing under the names I like and if the website domain and other social media handles are available.

Tell us how you got into writing?
I read Twilight, after not reading anything for pleasure in a very long time. It gave me the break I desperately needed, and when I finished the series, I knew I wanted to do that for someone else.

What jobs have you held before, during and/or after you’ve became a writer?
Before I started writing I worked retail in high school, then as a law firm receptionist through college, then as a psychiatric social worker after my degree. Immediately before writing, I was a stay at home mom of 3 kids ages 5 and under. I needed a break. LOL

Where do you write?
In my home office, also my car while waiting on kids as needed

What is your favorite deadline snack?
Coffee/wine

What is next for you?
I just turned in a synopsis for my 4th book in the Christmas Tree Farm Mysteries (I write as Jacqueline Frost). I’m now writing the first in a new cozy series called the Thelma & Louisa mysteries. Thelma is a polish hen and Louisa is a hen breeder looking to start an egg enterprise with her roadside souffle stand, Souffle the Day. No Farm No Fowl releases in April, and I’m REALLY excited about the release of the last book in my Seaside Café Mysteries (I write as Bree Baker) releasing March 29th! I hate to see the series end, but I’m so proud of the finale. I can’t wait to see it in readers’ hands!

What are you reading now?
I just started The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas.

Where can we find you?
I’m always on Facebook. I have a page and a reader group I call my Cozy Queens. I’m a big Goodreads and BookBub user. I dabble at Instagram, and I write a monthly newsletter where I do games, sneak peeks and prizes.

You are stranded on a deserted island. What are your three must-haves?
Oh boy. I’m definitely going to need my Kindle and some sort of solar power battery.
I feel like my third item should be something practical like a flashlight, sunblock, or toilet
paper, but truthfully, I wouldn’t survive long on a deserted island, so I suppose I’ll bring
a comfy hammock and go out reading in style.
