Lists are popular towards the end of the year. I’m not a fan of best book of the year, because the assumption should be that you read all books published to make that statement.
For the third year in a row, I’m included in the feature, “What Did Women Like in 2022.”
My list below could be top books or even favorite books. Only I know for sure, however these are great reads that enhanced the world that I live in. Book are in alphabetical order, so you won’t know which one is número uno.
COZY / TRADITIONAL TITLES
NON-COZY TITLES

- Hide by Tracy Clark
- Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun by Elle Cosimano

What were your favorite or top books in 2022?
A great list, Dru Thanks for posting.
Thanks Mary!
Thanks for the great list, Dru. I’m adding a bunch of those books to my TBR list. Historical mysteries are my jam, and some of my favorites this year are Karen Odden’s Under A Veiled Moon, Susan Elia MacNeal’s Mother Daughter Traitor Spy, and Mariah Fredericks’s The Lindbergh Nanny. Happy reading, everyone!
thanks for responding. Those are great titles you listed.
Great list, Dru Ann! I’m looking forward to lots more wonderful reading in 2023.
Thank you Laurien!
Your list looks so good! Any Where You Run is one I’ve been meaning to pick up. All Her Little Secrets by the same author is one I really enjoyed. Some favorites from this past year: Murder, She Knit by Peggy Ehrhart, Crime & Punctuation by Kaitlyn Dunnett, and Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak.
Great list Dru!
Thanks for posting, Dru. 🐱🍕❤️😘
Love this list! In addition to these, I’m looking forward to reading Erin Flanagan’s “Blackout.”
It’s her next up after the Edgar-award-winning “Deer Season.” Highly recommend for its complex relationships and unforgettable characters.
Great choices!! Thanks for all the information you share all year.
I have only read four but they were fantastic. Can’t wait to read more of them.
Congrats! Thanks for all you do for the book-loving community.
