Deadly Forecast by Victoria Laurie is the 11th book in the “Psychic Eye” mystery series. Publisher: Obsidian, July 2013
As her wedding day approaches, Abby Cooper has a disturbing premonition of her fiancé’s murder. Her husband-to-be, FBI agent Dutch Rivers, has been assigned to a suicide bombing case, and Abby’s spirit guides warn her of imminent danger. Abby vows to do everything in her power to keep Dutch safe and get him to the altar. But on the morning of the ceremony, she finds herself in a dire situation with time running out.
Man oh man did this book grab my attention never letting go until this roller coaster ride had stopped completely. Abby’s radar tells her Dutch in is danger and we watch as these feelings play out through this fast-paced and non-stop action page turner that I could not put down until I knew what was going to happen next. A wedding, the bombing and the in-laws constantly impede Abby’s goal of keeping him safe. The author did a great job in keeping the suspense moving that led to my heart pounding as time winds down until a climax befitting the dynamic duo of Abs and Dutch. Boasting a great cast of characters that also includes Candice and Cat, as well as engaging dialogue, this was an exciting and fun read and I can’t wait to read the next book in this fabulously terrific series.
Would love to win this book.
This is another new author to me and I will be looking into getting some of this series very soon. There are so many authors, so many books and yet so little time left to read, so when I see a novel with as good a story as this seems, I just have to find out more. This was a really good “interview”; thank you to Victoria and to Dru. Does this author write under other names as well?? I would be interested to find that out.
Thank you.
Cynthia
Going to be adding another book, to great reading list.
i am really enjoying Victoria’s Psychic Eye series and am looking forward to reading Deadly Forecast. I’ve recommended this series to my City Public Library but I know they have a very limited budget so I’ve been buying, reading, and donating them to the library. There’s apparently anticipated waiting for my donations – several seniors watch for them so their group can be on the waiting list early. Ms. Laurie has a great following in Texas!
I really need to catch up with this series.
