Something strange is happening in the Enchanted Village.
The strangeness started before the murder of Leyna Noble, co-owner of Divinitea tea shoppe—her death wasn’t so much odd as senseless and tragic. It’s not even unusual that Leyna was a witch, because around this neighborhood of Salem, Massachusetts, witches are the norm. Take me for example: I’m a Wishcrafter, a witch who can grant wishes. Can but doesn’t. These days I’m ambivalent about my wishing abilities and choose not to use them.
My sister Darcy’s upcoming wedding isn’t the least bit strange, either. She’s due to marry police chief Nick Sawyer in two weeks’ time. It’s past time, if you ask me. It was obvious from the moment they met two years ago that they were meant to be together. I’m helping to plan their wedding. Okay, okay. I admit, I’ve taken over planning their wedding. If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. Know what I mean?
What is strange is the feeling that everyone around me is keeping a secret. A big secret. Why do Darcy, Mom, Aunt Ve, Godfrey, Pepe, and even Archie, who we all know loves to talk (so why is he so quiet now?) change or avoid the subject when I mention the upcoming Elder renewal ceremony? What are they hiding from me? Why does it feel like I’m at the center of something incredibly important, yet no one will tell me what it is?
I’m not sure, but as I help Darcy plan her wedding and investigate Leyna’s murder, I’ll be doing a little snooping of my own, trying to uncover whatever it is everyone is so desperate to hide. I know just where to start, too. We all know how Archie likes his liquor, so a few stiff drinks ought to loosen his beak. . .

Not even a witch can keep her secrets safe in the sizzling ninth installment of national bestselling author Heather Blake’s Wishcraft series.
Wishcrafter Darcy Merriweather’s enchanted wedding plans are put to the test when murder invites itself to her bridal luncheon. . .
The Enchanted Village always has a touch of magic about it, but the buzz of excitement over the wedding between wish-granting witch Darcy and Police Chief Nick Sawyer is positively electric. With every spellbinding detail planned to perfection all that’s left is to sit back and let wishes come true. But Darcy’s dream wedding is threatened when the Divinitea Cottage, the tea room hosting her bridal luncheon, goes up in flames, revealing the strangled body of the owner, Leyna Noble.
Making vows to solve the crime without delaying the nuptials, Darcy focuses on her prime suspect, and number one nemesis, wicked witch Dorothy Hansel Dewitt, a notorious firebug. But when a psychic vanishes without a trace, Darcy’s investigation shifts to Leyna’s mysteriously bewitching past. Darcy must sort through mystical claims and old, vengeful grudges to find a killer before she is forced to forever hold her peace.

The quirkiest thing I’ve witnessed at a wedding was a wedding party with ALL groomsmen & NO BRIDAL PARTY!! Not even the bride’s sister was the Maid of Honor…
I can’t recall anything quirky or unusual at a wedding. All the weddings I’ve been to have been very traditional.
I haven’t been to very many weddings. I can’t wait to read this book though!
I’m not sure I’ve seen anything odd at a wedding. I’ve seen some beautiful settings though. Sad to see this series come to an end but can’t wait to see what creative genius Heather comes up with next!
It really is so sad to see this series ending!
Nothing strange at any wedding I have attended. So sorry series is ending.
Some witches are nice and I love the colorful cover.
Can’t wait to read this book! Not sure if this is quirky, but was at a wedding where the groom refused to have the song Proud Mary played, so the guests sang it to him instead.
It’s isn’t all that strange but I have seen the groomsmen and groom wear jeans with all the brides maids wear fancy dresses. Just different. Can’t wait to read about Darcy’s wedding!
My friend had a beautiful black and white themed wedding. Even the cupcakes had black and white icing. Unfortunately black icing meant after eating it everyone’s teeth were stained a dark gray. It was very funny and made for great pictures.
I don’t think I have ever seen anything odd at a wedding…just happiness and beauty! Thanks to the author, Heather Blake, for giving us this wonderful series. Although it is sad to see it end, it is going out on a high note. I can’t wait to read this last Wishcraft story!
I don’t know that I’ve seen anything truly unusual at a wedding. I think the most unusual thing I’ve seen has been a wedding party that danced down the aisle.
I don’t want this series to end !!!!! I can’t wait to read it though !!!! What an amazing series!!
It sounds like Harper has her hands full planning the wedding, learning secrets, and helping Darcy investigate Leyna’s murder. I look forward to reading A Witch to Remember. The quirkiest thing I can remember about a wedding is that one of the guests had Secret Service protection, and one woman asked me if the bride had worked with deaf people because there were so many men there wearing earpieces.
The quirkiest thing I saw at a wedding is that the reception was held in a Country/Western bar.
I love this series and am anxious to read about Darcy and Nick’s wedding. I can’t imagine it would be less than wonderful in such a magical town.
Quirky and weddings-how difficult to separate odd and quirky. Odd might be the wedding where the bride was pregnant and all 3 of her attendants were too… Odd or quirky would be the wedding where the groom was a sheriff’s deputy and his service dog was the best man. Quirky was the wedding where the wedding party ALL wore Venetian masks! (They were beautiful!)
Thanks Heather for the chance to win a copy of your book!
Nothing quirky at the weddings I have been to. Love this series. Thank you for the chance.
quirkiest thing at a wedding was I guess when the grooms sister was his best “man” which i thought was very sweet but unusual
Not so much quirky as odd, but I attended a wedding where the bride’s parents renewed their vows right after the bride and groom exchanged rings but hadn’t been pronounced husband and wife. It was awkward but especially since the groom’s parents were not given the opportunity to do the same. Thank you for the chance to win.
Quirkiest thing I saw at a wedding was the bride and groom dancing back down the aisle to the music of “Bugle Boy”!
I have a quirky set of friends so they do all sorts of weird things at weddings.
My cousin had special polka dotted boxers for all the best men at his wedding, so they could do a special “polka dance” as a tribute to his bride, who, in turn had her bridesmaids don roller skates to take over the dance floor.
Another wedding featured cow bells.
Most fun was where all the men at the reception returned their keys to the brides apartment, into a giant fish bowl. There were over 50 keys, including some from “gentlemen” over the age of 80!
I don’t know about quirky or unusual but I’m from a small town in the south. And the biggest wedding I went to was in my Junior year of high school. A girl got married, we were friendly but she was 16 and her parents threw her this huge wedding because they didn’t want her to feel bad about marrying her baby daddy so young. It was a little scary and a lot hysterical.
I haven’t been to a lot of weddings in my lifetime, so apparently this is the norm: no kids allowed at weddings. One of my friends from church who got married decided to not have children at the wedding, and it caused an argument from one of the groom’s friends. Like I said, I haven’t gone to enough weddings to see that this may or may not be the norm, but the past few times I went to weddings, there were plenty of kids running around. Can anyone enlighten me on this debated topic? (Sheltered life/haven’t attended enough weddings to know this)
Was at the wedding of a daughter of my friend and her “maid of honor” was her best guy friend. Something different.
Can’t wait to read this book!
I absolutely love this series and am so sad that this is the last book. I know this is how Heather wanted it to be, but still can’t believe this is the last one. I would love to win this. Thank you for the chance.
I agree – love the series and sad it is ending
My brother had a beach themed wedding but the groom’s cake was a gargoyle
The quirkiest thing was my hair at my son’s wedding a few years ago. It was in the Midwest and definitely not the style I’m used to anymore. Felt like I dropped into high school again with that bouffant.
quirkiest thing was what I did not see at a wedding – no cake, no cupcakes – no sweets of any kind. Not b/c of sugar issues – the bride and groom (yes both) decided no cake…everything else was very traditional, the dinner had no sweets either….it was very unusual
**** WINNER ****
