Dru’s Short Musing:
This series is like fine wine, it gets better with each book written.
The Fox family is once again the central figure in this drama where Kate tries to solve the crime wave that is hitting the town while protecting the Johnson brothers who seems to be caught up in a triangle of sorts.
Shannon did a great job in this well-written narrative with a solid multi-plot scenario that kept me immersed in all aspects in this story. The mystery was nicely done with a few red herrings that kept me in the game. When I thought I knew what was going on, the author changed directions, more to the delight of this reader. Boasting a great supporting cast, engaging dialogue and just being with the Fox Family, this was a terrific read and I look forward to the next book in the riveting series that will grip you by the horsehairs.

This series is new to me, and reading Dru’s musings on Double Back had me convinced I should probably give it a try. But after Shannon’s “flame on my bananas Foster” line? There’s no more probably about it. I’m looking forward to meeting the Fox family.
