Susan M. Boyer delivered a well-crafted and well-executed drama that immediately grabbed my attention from the moment I opened the book. The mystery contained kept me intrigued as the premise told me there was more to the case Liz and Nate were working on and the author took us step by step with suspects galore and clues that was meant to get me thinking. Who is pulling the strings? What is the motive behind Darius hasty arrest?

You will have to read this book to find the answers and boy when the pieces started to fall into place, everything that was going on, made sense. I like how the author staged this drama and again, that surprising twist when the killer’s identity was revealed, enhanced my reading pleasure. As always, I enjoy the snippets of Liz’s family interaction and this one with her parents was an enjoyable interlude. A favorite series that I look forward to, Lowcountry Boomerang is the best book in the series thus far and I can’t wait to see what adventures are in store for Liz, Nate and the gang.
