Murder on Wheels by Lynn Cahoon is the 6th book in the “Tourist Trap” mystery series. Publisher: Lyrical Underground, February 2016

Murder on WheelsThe food truck craze has reached the charming coastal town of South Cove, California, but before Jill Gardner—owner of Coffee, Books, and More—can sample the eats, she has to shift gears and put the brakes on a killer . . .

Now that Kacey Austin has got her new gluten-free dessert truck up and running, there’s no curbing her enthusiasm—not even when someone vandalizes the vehicle and steals her recipes. But when Kacey turns up dead on the beach and Jill’s best friend Sadie becomes the prime suspect, Jill needs to step on it to serve the real killer some just desserts.

What a wonderfully crafted tale that was enjoyable from the beginning to end. The writing style was easy to follow and the tone was very comfortable. The mystery was engaging and I liked that the road leading to the killer had plenty of suspects and red herrings to keep me reading as I had to know what happened next. The author did a great job in presenting this story in a manner that put me smack dab in the middle of all the action. This fast-paced drama was fun and entertaining and boasted a likable cast of characters and good conversations. This was a good read and I look forward to more exciting adventures with Jill and her friends in South Cove.
