Have shared on FB and Twitter. My Other is Suspense. I’m on a roll reading standalone suspense these days.
I love cozy mysteries!
Mostly cozies, but I also enjoy historical mysteries.
So many cozy readers! I’m all over the map (bookwise) but love fiction with a sense of humor. Happy reading!
Historical, copies, and really anything Mystery.
I like Historical mystery s too
I read any genre as long as the book is well-written and well plotted. I prefer books with a strong female protagonist but I don’t limit myself to them.
I picked a category, but there isn’t one of those that I DON’T read. I read them all, including true crime.
Cozies in regular and paranormal.
I mostly read cozies but all read traditional mysteries.
My favorites are historical mysteries, but I read all sorts of mysteries!
Mostly cozies. I also read traditional mysteries and psychological mysteries
I notice Capers got very few votes. I wonder if it’s because the reader is conflicted while reading the story. What do you think?
For those who wondered why suspense and/or thrillers were not on the list, technically they are not mysteries. In looking up the definitions, the distinction was made.
Most mysteries reveal a crime and then require their main characters to work backwards to figure out who committed that crime. In a thriller or suspense, the bad guy is often established early on, and the main characters must work to stop them from doing more harm.
Love this! Very cool poll.
To me some of the historical mysteries are also cozies.
Although I mainly read cozies, I read many historicals, a majority that fit in the cozy or traditional category. I also enjoy many Traditional Mysteries. I periodically read some of the other subgenres, but not near as often.
My absolute favorite to read are COZIES! I love hunkering down under my nice warm electric blanket with my kitty Rupert to read an awesome cozy every night! My happy place for sure is with an exciting cozy!!! ππππππ
