“Your incessive chattering is not going to make me listen to you,” Rosalia Gomez known to most as either Abuela Nana or just Nana said in a frustrated tone.

“I’m bored!”

Trying to ignore her was not going to work. So, Nana decided it was time to tackle the situation head on.

“Fine, Matilda. What is it you need from me?”

“First of all, I need you to start using the crystal ball, but most importantly I need you to find out who killed me and most importantly why?”

Nana had already done some research when she first purchased her vintage caravan and realized it came with an unexpected guest. The ghost of Matilda was relentless!

“Let me see if I can find anything new on the internet.”

Matilda, Romani, Female found dead next to her caravan, strangled…

After about an hour, she told Matilda she was sorry.

“Matilda, I know you want answers. I promise that I will do my very best to find out what happened to you. For my sanity and yours, please can we make a truce. I will continue to search any information I can find on you, but you must promise me you will not continue to nag me.”

“You’ve got yourself a deal. Gotta run, some friends have gathered and the music is just divine. See you later,” and with that she was gone.

Looking down at Moro, Nana’s familiar, she chuckled thinking how precarious Matilda was, and how after having her around she quite enjoyed her company.

Nana had started her one-year adventure back in early October when she decided to purchase a vintage caravan. The plan was to travel with her friends from the Miami Coastal Caravan Club to Vermont to see the foliage. If everything went according to her plans, Nana would stay in the area for a year and then return to Colten Island.

Of course, trouble followed her and soon she found herself knee deep in a murder investigation at the campground. The victim appeared to have died of natural causes, but the more Nana investigated, the more she realized something was not quite right with the whole situation.

Maybe she should reach out to Raul, Rosa’s spirit guide. He could find out something about Matilda. Even though there was not much in the news about her or what happened, there had to be information somewhere. Maybe he could even speak with those on his side to get a better understanding about what happened.

Sitting outside her caravan drinking her mint tea, Nana looked passed the trees and noticed a reindeer. It stood there staring at her without moving. Nana nodded as if to say everything is alright with the world. After a few seconds it appeared to nod, and then it turned around and disappeared into the woods.

“Nana, earth to Nana.”

“Juana, sorry I didn’t hear you approach. I was just thinking about the first time we arrived,” she said with a smile.

“Oh, Nana. It was dreadful. Here I was telling you over and over again that nothing ever happened in our trips, and…” before she could finish her sentence Nana stood and wrapped her arms around her.

“No te preocupes. Do not worry my friend. Tell me, what brings you to my side of the campsite?” Nana asked.

“Que cómica. You’re just too funny. I live right next door to you,” she said with a smile.

“I know, it’s just funny. Anyway, what can I do for you?”

“I need you to take out your crystal ball and your tarot cards and do a reading. I just heard there is a missing hiker…”

About the author
For the longest time, Ileana Muñoz-Renfroe wanted to be an author. Almost twenty years later, and after raising two children and owning numerous businesses, she decided to take the plunge. It started in a Café in Paris. The idea of Rosa popped into her head, and the stories and characters became real. Since two of her passions are the paranormal and high-end fashion, she found a way to combine them and created Rosa The Cuban Psychic Mysteries. This series brings together her Cuban and American culture to make for a fun cozy mystery story.

As of late, she has published two books in the Rosa The Cuban Psychic Mysteries. Book 2, A Parisian Bait, has enough twists and turns to keep you guessing until the very end. Book 3, A Mysterious Date is in production.

She’s also published a children’s book, and started two new series The Wisterious Bay Cozy Paranormal Mysteries. Book 1, A Wisterious Witch is available in eBook and paperback, and Ghostly Gift, book 2 in the Holiday Corner Cozy Mysteries. On this last series, she collaborated with two additional authors to bring together this amazing new holiday series.

Her latest book – Murder at The Campground: A Cuban Cozy Mystery, Book 1 (A Tarot and Vintage Caravan Mystery Series) is set to be released early February. At least two more books will follow in the series.

When she is not writing, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, reading, entertaining, and listening to music.
