Hello! My name is Tiffany Austin. I used to be a professional chef in what now seems a lifetime ago! An unfortunate set of circumstances caused me to re-evaluate my life, and I returned to my hometown of Branson, Georgia and became a food blogger! Which means, in essence…I get to eat for a living! Who wouldn’t love that! (even though it almost didn’t happen…I was suspected of murdering a rival co-worker—but it all worked out in the end!)

So what’s one of my typical days like? Well, first off I have to get up and feed the “kids” my Siamese cat Lily and King Charles Cavalier spaniel Cooper! Then it’s off to the offices of Southern Style, where I go over my column for our monthly issue with my boss, Dale Swenson (we went to High School together – he had a huge crush on me!) and my weekly blog on our webpage. Then I might stop by my friend Hilary Hanson’s office for a chat. Hilary is a big foodie and is always interested in what I’ve got going on (translation: she can’t cook worth a darn but she loves to eat).

Then I set up my schedule for the week, which might include reviewing a new dish at an existing restaurant, or maybe a new eatery in the vicinity that’s opening. Then it’s off for lunch, usually at my favorite place, Po’ Boys Anonymous, run by my pals, Bob and Nita Gillette. (If you’re ever in Branson, try their Shrimp Po’Boy – it’s to die for!)

After clocking out for the day, I might get ready for a date with my current sweetie, Homicide Detective Philip Bartell. We met when he suspected me of murder and just couldn’t deny our attraction to one another. The bad thing is, his date availability is sometimes dependent on how many dead bodies have turned up….hopefully, none that I’ve found!!!!

For more of a peek into my lifestyle, I hope you’ll all pick up a copy of Eat, Drink And Drop Dead! Number one in the Tiffany Austin Food Blogger mysteries! And stay tuned…there are more restaurant reviews, recipes, and murders ahead!

A former chef gets mixed up in murder when she moves back to her Southern home town in the first Tiffany Austin food blogger mystery – a culinary cozy that will make your brain work and your stomach rumble!

Food critic and blogger Tiffany Austin has the best job in the world: she gets to eat for a living. At least, she hopes she has a job. Her trial period at Southern Style magazine is up – and rumors are swirling that management are making a choice between Tiffany and a rival columnist: the ambitious Jenny Lee Plumm.

Former chef Tiffany knows she has a battle on her hands . . . but she didn’t realize it was to the death! When her rival’s body is discovered after the two have a very public argument, Tiffany finds herself the prime suspect in a murder investigation. The lead detective might be very hot – but Tiffany’s definitely not ready to go down for a crime she didn’t commit.

Ably assisted by Hilary, her best friend and partner in (non) crime, and bolstered by the unconditional love of her Siamese cat Lily and King Charles Cavalier puppy Cooper, Tiffany plunges into an investigation of her own. After all, she has a degree from the CIA – the Culinary Institute of America – and she’s not afraid to use it. But can she find the real killer before she’s served up to the cops on a silver platter?

Eat, Drink and Drop Dead is a great pick for fans of delicious culinary cozies by Joanne Fluke, Lucy Burdette, Krista Davis and Jenn McKinlay – if you like smart, savvy female sleuths, twisty mysteries and delicious food, why not give it a try!
