Hi, Emma Taylor here. I’m back home in Paris, TN where I’ve helped my Aunt Arabella renovate Sweet Nothings, her vintage lingerie shop. The place absolutely screamed 1970s so I got rid of the fluorescent hot pink and orange accents and the pea green shag carpeting and did it all up in pale pink with black and white toile accents.
Arabella has a wonderful stock of vintage lingerie she’s been collecting and repairing. I must say, women knew how to dress in those days! It makes me want to trade in my old t-shirt and boxers for a beautiful Lucie Ann negligee with a matching marabou trimmed robe. Lucie Ann was known for her use of bold colors and glamorous trim like feathers and rhinestones. She designed the negligee and peignoir sets worn by Eva Gabor in the television show Green Acres. What woman wouldn’t feel like a princess wearing an ensemble like that!
Then there were the bullet bras! There was nothing natural about that look but all the sweater girls wore them to get that peculiar conical shape. Some were known to stuff the tips of their bras. And they had to be ironed! I rarely iron anything anymore.
It was a more glamorous time, that’s for sure—long, flowing nightgowns, silk stockings with seams, luscious handmade lace.
If you had the opportunity to shop for some vintage items, would you?
Thanks to Penguin, I have one (1) copy of LACED WITH POISON to give away. Leave a comment to be included in the giveaway. The book will be shipped directly from the publisher. Contest ends July 10; US entries only per publisher’s request.

Meet the author
Meg London is the pen name for writer Peg Cochran. Peg grew up in a New Jersey suburb about 25 miles outside of New York City.
After her husband died, Peg remarried and her new husband took a job in Grand Rapids, Michigan where they now live (on exile from NJ as she likes to joke).
She has two cozy mystery series debuting from Berkley Prime Crime— the Sweet Nothings Vintage Lingerie series, written as Meg London, set in Paris, Tennessee and the Gourmet De-Lite series, under her own name, set in Connecticut. She also has two ebooks on Amazon, a mystery, Confession Is Murder and a young adult book Oh, Brother!
Visit her at www.pegcochran.com or www.meglondon.com or on Facebook.
Books are available at retail and online booksellers.
Its really cool that Meg London and Peg Cochran are the same author. I have read the De-lites series and enjoyed it. Maureen

I know I read the first book in the series (I think I own it, but can’t find it) and I’d love to win this one for those same book eating shelves.
This is on my list to read!
I would like to read this book, maybe it would change the way I feel about those types of things. I am more the cotton nightgown kind of girl, no added frills for me.
Sounds great, I can’t wait to read it.
I think being able to slip into something so feminine and luxurious would be a great way to start each day. Gonna start the series.
I have always wanted to buy some vintage clothing. Love it! And the series sounds fun!

Wearing vintage lingerie looks interesting but I don’t know if I would wear them.
Thanks Meg for stopping by and letting Emma tell us about her day.
Sadly there is probably vintage lingerie in my dresser drawers. Time to toss it!
