Group Photo GraveGroup, Photo, Grave by Joanna Campbell Slan is the eighth book in the “Kiki Lowenstein” mystery series. Publisher: Spot On Publishing, October 2013

The wedding should have been perfect. Ace scrapbooker Kiki Loewenstein certainly did her part to make everything just right for her mother-in-law Sheila’s special day. But the discovery of a corpse can put a damper on any festivity. Especially when everyone-in-the-know knows the Bride wanted to shove her bouquet up the Dead Guy’s snout. Suddenly Sheila’s wedding portrait looks like a mug shot. Kiki must poke her pug nose into old secrets. Why did somebody want to cut a retired plastic surgeon out of the big picture? Includes recipes and craft tips.

This was a great read as Kiki does her part to help capture a killer with help from family and friends. It was great to see Aunt Penny again as well as watching Anya become a bright young woman taking on responsibilities as she grows older. This was thoroughly enjoyable with wonderful dialogue, a great cast of characters and a comfortable setting that puts me right in the middle of all the action. And that ending….oh boy I can’t wait to see what happens next. I’m so happy that Joanna is continuing this fabulous series.
