I live over a 3-car garages, sponging off my brother.

What is your favorite spot in your home?
In front of the TV.

What is your favorite meal and dessert?
Beef on Weck (sandwich) with fries.

Photography.

What music do you listen to?
Light jazz.

What is your favorite color?
Don’t have one.

What is your favorite vacation spot?
I’m bored with (business) travel. I’d just as soon stay home.

Currently a morning person.

If you were to write a memoir, what would you call it?
Rotten Luck.

Amateur or professional sleuth and whom do you work with?
I work with my brother, Dr. Richard Alpert, and our associate, Emily Farrrell. We’re consultants taking on cold cases from the Buffalo, NY Police Department.

What is a typical day in your life like?
Get up. Go to work. Hope we get a case. If we don’t have one, sit around, read magazines, do Sudoku puzzles, drink too much coffee. If we have a case, anything goes (and usually does).
