Got up,
fed the cat,
made breakfast for Bill and the boys,
saw Bill off to work,
drove the boys to school,
ran errands.
Home for lunch,
did dishes,
did laundry,
stumbled across a mystery,
sought advice from the late Dimity Westwood,
aka Aunt Dimity,
who communicates from beyond the grave by writing in a blue leather-bound journal,
solved mystery,
picked the boys up from school,
made dinner,
enjoyed a quiet evening at home,
went to bed.
Send a silent thank-you to Aunt Dimity,
made a mental list of things to do tomorrow,
and fell asleep,
tired but content.
All in all,
a pretty good day.

This is such a fun series.
I’ve never read this series before. Looks like fun.
Aunt Dimity is a fun series. We have enjoyed reading Lori’s adventures right from the beginning. I’ll have to put this on my list of books to get from the library when my current pile has shrunk a bit.
Aunt Dimity is a real fun series. We’ve been reading it right from that start, watching Lori and Bill and the kids grow and find their way in a new home and countryl I’ll have to add this title to my list of books to order (when my current pile has shrunk a bit).
Her days sound a lot like mine, though the mysteries I solve during my day are “which cat threw up on the rug” and “where did I leave my keys?”
I’ve been reading these for a long time, although I haven’t read them all. I think the first one I read was Aunt Dimity’s Good Deed (it had a car on the cover) and I got it from The Mystery Guild (where I’ve gotten a lot of books in this series).
Diane, I have cats too so I know about having to figure out which one made the mess. Today one of them peed on the linoleum in the kitchen and that hasn’t happened in a long time.
I have heard so much about the Aunt Dimity series but have read any of the titles. I think it’s about time I got started on them. They sound like a real treat. Thanks for the encouragement!
Only started reading this series a bit ago and am really enjoying it.
